It wasn't bad and the ending was satisfying.

Great issue...except for the Mother Box.

Artwork = 9
Plot = 7
Characters = 7 (Carol still can't make up her mind? A Guardian willingly sacrificing himself? A Mother Box at the heart of it all? Too many questions.)

Overall, 7/10. Four stars out of five. Still a better comic than GL or GLC or even RL. About on-par with Sinestro's comic. Still too many questions, unresolved problems.

Disagree vehemently, but hey, one man's trash is another man's treasure.

I won't score it on any scale. To each his own. But while this small arc was fun in a lot of ways and reintroduced the Psions in the New 52, it seemed hollow and filler in the run-up to Godhead, which I would assume is the reason for the Mother Box cameo.

Hence my beef.

A filler arc and you 1) reintroduce the Psions, a group that could be used for a dang sight more and greater than a short blob of filler for the upcoming crossover, and 2) kill a Guardian in the process. For a filler arc.

Maybe they prove me wrong and this little spin of a tale ends up having massive implications in the future, but I'll bet a hefty sum of coconuts that this will never be revisited short of the Guardian dying in snippets of dialogue. It's grandiose for the sake of being grandiose, and it stinks.

Be more like GLC. That is all.
