Hell yes! I am perfectly fine with John being GL in JL. More so now that Hal will have his own film. Great news. Let's hope it doesn't fall into oblivion like everything else DC has been trying to put together in the last few years.
Personally, I was excited for David Goyer's version of Flash. Which he confirmed would have starred Barry and Wally. With Ryan Reynolds as Wally West. Then, of course, there's always the Joss Whedon Wonder Woman tragedy. Don't even get me started on that.
I still stand by my opinion that if they didn't use Hal Jordan. Kerr Smith would make a great Kyle Rayner.
Warner Brothers has set Greg Berlanti to direct Green Lantern, a live-action take on the DC Comics superhero, Variety reported.
Berlanti will write the script with Marc Guggenheim and Michael Green. Donald De Line will produce; Andrew Haas is executive producer.
Berlanti hopes to make the jump to big-budget fantasy fare after serving as writer and executive producer on such TV series as Dirty Sexy Money, Brothers & Sisters, Everwood and Dawson's Creek.
Green Lantern was created in 1940. Hal Jordan, a second-generation test pilot, is an ordinary man who has been charged with defending a sector of the universe.
If I hear Jack Black 1 time in connection to this project I'll go totaly Almonds.
