He was 94 years old... he lead a good long and successful life.

I own 3 gibson les pauls he has done so much for not just rock but music its a sad day for music

I don't see why its sad that he died at teh age of 94...

... if anything, I think people should be happy for him, and throw a party in his honor.

He was definitely a pioneer in the guitar arena. I've never owned a Gibson Les Paul, but one day hopefully.

Well, even at the age of 94, he was still contributing to the music world. To lose such a talented player and great musician, at any age, is saddening.
