He went out in a way that made me happy. I'm not happy he died but at least he didn't die at the hands of a Black Lantern.

I can hardly believe it...

Although I haven't read the issue yet, I hope Jokerxxx is right and it was done nicely.

At this point however, I'm not sure a "temporary death" is a good idea. Perhaps it really is time to "pass the torch", for good.

I knew it would be him and I called it first.

As soon as we saw Guy becoming a Red Lantern in a fit of rage, there could really only be one candidate that made any sense (both Kilowog and Ice had both JUST come back to life, so killing them would be nonsensical).

I really liked it. I thought it showed Kyle's character very well and made him an instant hero of Blackest Night in my eyes.

Actually, you're right, I take it back.

Limelantern is the first to call it.

Poor Kyle. I was just starting to like the character... aw, well. Kyle went out heroically, at any rate.

Also, I got some scans to prove it...

What a joke. As I said a few weeks ago, he'll be back in a big "event" within three years that launches his new title.

Is there dust covering parts of him, or are there actually huge, gaping holes in his body?

Do me a favor and don't call it a joke. I grew up with Kyle as GL and he has always been and will always be my favorite comic character. So you calling his death a joke kind of bothers me.

Well I for one totally didn't see this coming.

I didn't connect the Guy Gardner Red Lantern news with anything like this.

Im more of a Hal guy myself, but Kyle had grown on me and I did like him very much.

Definitely sad to see him go. If it is permanent.

yeah geoff kinda lays things out and I would assume the writers that are doing other titles are writing around the "bigger picture"

Aye. That's what happened with stripping Kyle of Ion. Marz found out the direction planned for Kyle, and therefore had to ammend his story.
