‘Watch Dogs’ Movie to be Scripted by ‘Zombieland’ Writers

Quote:
Zombieland scribes Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese have been set to script Watch Dogs, a live-action feature based on the upcoming Ubisoft video game. Sony and New Regency are developing the film with Ubisoft. The story centers on Aiden Pearce, a hacker who turns the city of Chicago into his personal stomping grounds to carry out his own brand of justice after a violent family tragedy. He is certainly adept physically, but his true gift is his ability to tap into a citywide computer system and control everything from traffic lights to accessing intel that allows him to engage the bad guys, and thwart attempts to kill innocents.

Wernick and Rheese are currently developing Epsilon, a spec they sold to Sony for Greg Berlanti to direct and for Michael De Luca to produce. The scribes are repped by WME and Hansen, Jacobson. This is the third screen collaboration for New Regency and Ubisoft: Tom Hardy is starring in the Doug Liman-directed Splinter Cell, and Michael Fassbender is starring in Assassin’s Creed, which will have a director shortly. Here is a trailer that gives a better idea of Watch Dogs‘ movie potential.

Huh, those are the same guys who scripted the defunct Deadpool flick. Also, they are just rushing that movie out the door, aren't they?

Just picked up my copy of The Amazing Spider-man 2. So can't wait to get home!

Yeah that did get annoying after a while but in that guys defense it got annoying when Andrew Garfield was doing it in the movie. I also got two free movie tickets with it too and of course the skins pack for pre-ordering.

EDIT: Just checked IMDB. It's the same guy.

Looking forward to the costumes. Can't wait to swing around as Superior Spider-man. Are you playing it now? How is it alternating between RB and LB to swing around? That was one of the new gameplay mechanics I was most intrigued about and excited for.

Sweet! I'm itching to get out of work already but still have about two and a half hours left to go . It would have been one and a half if an employee didn't call out that I now have to cover

For reasons I cannot comprehend, I plugged my GameCube back in and fired up Resident Evil 4.

Still a good game, though my HDTV makes it look a little dated.

God, I love the old RE games. Still have a copy of RE2 on N64, though I'm selling the console and game, and the game freezes up completely after a short while.

I still have my old PS2 and a couple RE games but the effect (how crappy it looks in HD) really bothers me nowadays.

You need a proper skaler for your HDTV.

There hasn't been a spiderman game worth $60 in a long time.

To be fair, there are extremely few games worth $60.

I have to disagree. I have played all of the Beenox Spidey games and did not feel bad spending 60 bucks on them at all. Mine only cost 50, then again I did buy it for 360.
