I'm sure foreign markets won't even notice that transition and probably think that's how the U.S. is like anyway.

I really hope they reboot the franchise should Michael Bay actually depart. And whomever takes the helm of the Transformers, I hope he/she designs the characters to be more inline with icon/classic images.

That is the dream of most tf fans, IMO. I personally never really had that big of a problem with them until I saw 5. The flaws I saw were the overuse of Bumblebee, Doritoscream, the awkwardness of some of the human elements, etc., but I still enjoyed them. My complaints were fairly topical in nature and I could overlook them as long as there was something worthwhile to offset them.

I couldn't find much to like about 5. So, yeah. Let someone else take them where fans want it to go. What is Simon Furman up to nowadays? Lol.

^Yeah, but come on, you know you would love a more Gen-One-looking TF movie.

Oh, Hell yes. That's what the majority of Bay haters having been crying for since day 1. But I never really considered myself a Bay hater in the first place. Yeah, I saw stuff I didn't care for, but there was always the bigger picture which fascinated me until 5.

Is the world ready for a new (old) take on transformers? I think so.

My last two mini hauls

The one that can hardly be made out in the bottom pic is G1 Crankcase, the last triggercon I needed

Thanks!

I try to get at least one Transformer from every line (I think I broke that with movie toys) but I will always love G1.

I am really liking the Titans Return line going on now, very G1 inspired.

My bro asked me the other if I was getting close to having them all (g1). I had to laugh at the ridiculuous notion. My collection is nice and comprehensive but there are so many of the VIPs I never got it'll always fail to impress.

^Being a completist is nice if you have the money to cherry pick every little part on ebay, but I'd rather get the tfs that I find interesting, whether they are HASTAK or 3rd party.

Yeah, the TR line is looking great; although I'm not crazy about every single character being a headmaster, just the bots that originally were back in g1. I'm really stoked over the new Sixshot though. Can't wait till Overlord is released so I will have all 3 Phase Sixers.

I've seen a bunch of the 3rd party bots and they look amazing.

With the old stuff, I'd rather just complete subsets at this point. I don't every Pretender or airplane, I just want that last Stunticon, Micromaster, or Mini Autobot, etc. . .

A lot of the newer ones I've bought were because I knew I could never find/afford the original one. Most of the time the new versions are vastly superior anyway haha.

IDW ending it's current Transformers Continuity after 15 years...

Kind of heart breaking, but maybe it is time for change.

From what I understand, they will be starting a new continuity shortly thereafter.

Oh yeah? I just found/subscribed to them a month or two ago. Their histories are very insightful. I'm pretty familiar with Masters of the Universe, but I've learned some stuff about it from their vids (especially the one on the near mythical Wonder Bread He-Man).

Wonder Bread He Man! Was he real or wasn't he? Lol. I enjoy watching their history videos, even on lines I was never into. Just interesting and well done.
