The Story of the SS: Hitler's Infamous Legions of Death

Okay. I think I already have more books in my personal library (especially when I add in those full collections on Kindle) than I could get to in my life unless I gave up every other form of entertainment. Yet I keep buying more. I wish I read faster and more. Since I've been keeping track, I think my best year was 2018 with 32 complete books (not including ones I read in part).

After tracking down my last entry in this thread, here's what I've read since, in descending order:

Having shared that, I have to say the Tide series was extremely enjoyable since it was part of my life for more than a few days. 10 novels. End of the world apocalypse/military/monsters type of stuff that you can see outlines of the Walking Dead in, but this story comes to a satisfying conclusion. No zombies, but "skulls, droolers, goliaths, hybrids, and titans" plus the evil mastermind behind it all. The best way to describe reading one of the books is revving up a 4 wheeler, riding it across the world and back, then sit down for a minute before you do the same thing all over, hitting new and exotic places. Strongly recommended for those who like the aforementioned genres of fiction.

Doctor No
by Ian Fleming

(and that is the book I actually read those three from though the dust jacket was missing when I bought it)

I take it you keep track of them for something other than this site. Is that from an app or do you paste all the pictures in?

Yo.

interesting book, but I find the MC less-than-likeable, and am more concerned with how he'll change the new realm he's landed in......

Those are pics of my Kindle Library, arranged by the order in which the books were read. Trust me, I do not have the patience to paste all those pics into one file. LoL I just took screenshots of what I had read since the last book I posted in this thread.

Yo.

have *just* finished this:

....and I'm done w/this series. the author has kept this 1 plot thread dangling for FIVE damned books, made the MC act like a horny hypocrite, and writes the stories more episodic than I care for (with all of the idiocy which comes from having a story that seems to have come from a group, rather than a single mind); I put it on the cusp after the 4th book, but I think its time to leave it alone.

What a coincidence. I finished Goldfinger (and liked it) and plan to read at least one Stephen King book as I'm on vacation in Maine starting Saturday. So, I'm reading Cujo.

Yo.

Ive really taken a shine to this Chinese webnovel's story, and am fortunate that multiple users have translated its 1600+ chapters into English (I'm on ch. 410 atm..... ) :

I did finish Cujo (fairly fast) and liked it more than I expected to for being one of his lesser novels (he himself said he was so high on cocaine that he doesn't remember writing it). But, while still in Maine, I was still in a Stephen King mood, so I borrowed Tommyknockers (considered another of his early misses) from my mother. It's a little too long, though, for me to have finished while still up there.

The Wolves of Midwinter
by Anne Rice

[The sequel to her first werewolf book, The Wolf Gift. It's slower (a lot of it is just the day-to-day lives of a modern werewolf pack), but still interesting.]

No offense meant* and I get that audiobooks suit your life better, but when you have to go through that much trouble couldn't you just make an exception and read those books? I mean, it sounds like a hassle to convert and I would imagine it sounds funny.

[*everybody processes differently and I'm not great with audio]

dude, do U have *any idea* of the time & effort needed to transcribe 800+ chapters of txt to audio?!??

Im talking about merely taking those translated pages, and then turning them into an .epub format....
