Default Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Random though for the day:

Coulson > Son of Cole > Son of Coal > Fire > The [original] Human Torch

Just to add to the pile of LMD, Clone and the Magical experience of Tahiti

Not even bothering to watch the second episode. Was fucking awful. Joss Whedon. What do people see in him?

Well, some people see a guy that would have his heroes blow a guy's brains out and then smile and give each other the thumbs up. But I think that's the minority view.

put it to ya this way: Joss Whedon wouldve never gotten into the position w/Marvel, nor as huge a following of fans, he has *now* w/o that show.

yur mom is entitled to her opinion (natch), but theres a multitude of others out there who would quite vigorously disagree w/her.

I'm sensing that the Deadpool family don't like anything that's not gritty enough or doesn't have Idris Elba in it.

lol. Well we do like our dark and gothic stuff. Some of our fave shows are:
*Supernatural
*The Walking Dead
*American Horror Story
*True Blood
*Whitechapel
*Luther
*Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles
*Harpers Island
*Blade
*Torchwood
*and for me, I like Doctor Who

Although this list is mainly me and my mums list. My dad just watches a load of documentaries about guns

Oi! Don't lump me with the damn foetus up there, pretty sure he'd have been in nursery school (kindergarten for you bloody colonials) when Buffy aired.

Nope, but it did have Anthony Stewart Head, who could frankly out-Doctor the Doctor (and is a crying shame he got relegated to a bit prat* headteacher in one of the most pathetic DW episodes to date)

Back to topic: The second episode was basic drama by numbers, with a disused Serenity prop thrown in. You all know Reyes is out to betray Coulson, by the time you meet the soldiers, you know it wasn't anyone important falling out of the plane and the Maguffin is almost incidental.

While it's enjoyable brain candy, I expect more from Whedon than to be spoonfed

I wasn't even born when it premiered. Was born a year after.

Actually, I didn't mind that episode. Well, it was certainly a nice relief from New Earth and the likes. I find it funny how every episode in Eccleston's era is arguably good, then here comes along Tennant, and we have to wait about five episodes in (Girl In the Fire place) before we get a decent episode. No wonder I preferred Eccleston for ages.

Cool

With Luke Cage being (obviously) introduced in episode 1, I can't wait to see The Immortal Iron Fist (hopefully) soon. I liked the first episode, and just illegally downloaded the 2nd one. I'll see this series until it's end. And, all in all, I'm not a huge Marvel fan.

On another note, Arrow starts season two next week.

The second episode was a definite step up but I really hope there isn't another coincidental-escape-prior-reference ending in the next episode.

I haven't watched the 2nd episode yet. I wonder if they'll ever talk Fury to make an appearance in the series though.

Samuel L. Jackson would be down for it, I'm sure...but the money would have to be right. Wouldn't be surprised at all to see him at the end of the season.

ya know, I *would* say something in response to this........but seeing as I set myself up for it, I'll let it slide this time.

Fury WAS at the end of the 2nd episode yelling at Coulson for destroying his plane.

It wouldn't reference any of the Fox or Sony films as they don't sit in the Marvel movieverse continuity

Michael Peterson (the character bOB is confusing with Cage) was similar enough in the trailers that all the pre-pilot web chat was full of speculation. But no, this wasn't Cage, unless they're completely re-inventing the character's background (which is usual for Fox and Sony but not for Marvel when handling a headline character)

by "headline character", do U mean the title hero of the movie, ora mainline hero who isnt liable to get bumped off in the middle of the movie??
