Default Is it time for Grant Morrison to replace Geoff Johns?

What do you think?

I started a topic at CBR the other day about this. You folks might want to go over there and comment. I guarantee that some high-ups at DC will see what you post.

Grant Morrison was made editor over at some European comics imprint, as far as I know that's why he hasn't done as much mainstream stuff in America lately. Mark Waid and Kurt Busiek know how to respect where a character's been and where they can go, I'd hire one of them as Chief Creative Officer...

I like Morrison, but I also like being able to read GL in ten minutes without needing to consult ComicVine about obscure fifty-year-old continuity.

I always felt Morrison was a better idea man than he is at the actual craft of storytelling. Being a high ranking editor where he could get the writers and artists to push the envelope creatively could be a move that benefited DC much more than any story he makes himself in the next ten years.

I think that's why he has been a good fit for Heavy Metal, it was a good forum for his quirky ideas, but honestly who really ready Heavy Metal anymore?

Do we have any idea of whether he would even want the job?

Nope. Maybe Bendis would if Morrison doesn't.
