Well, it's better than nothing for a week and an apology next time around.

There wasn't anything beyond "Dude's sick, I'm pinch-hitting," certainly no explanation if the left or right half was the original piece and the rest was added or if the whole thing is meant to look like that, but either way, I like the art. Surreal, sure, but nice.

Sinestro definitely looks more Sinestro-y in this one. Pointy ears are clear, and skin is obviously pinker. Previously it was mostly his hair and his expression that suggested who he was.
