I would be fine with the Soviets. Indy 5 will likely take place in the late 60s or early 70s, so the cold war theme would make sense to continue.

I wonder what a script will look like without Lucas being involved.

All the coolest macguffins have probably been used in the comics and video games. I would be okay with reusing one of the better ones. I don't consider that stuff canon.

They made an announcement of the release date and everything. It's supposedly Spielberg's next movie. How does it need to get BACK on track?!?
