Reynolds' GL contract probably expired by now. He's moved on from GL and even took jabs at the movie in Deadpool. I think he only signed on to play Hal at the time because he thought he wouldn't play Deadpool again after the disastrous X-Men Origins: Wolverine and 20th Century Fox's Tom Rothman's refusal to green light the Deadpool movie spin-off. I'm just glad Reynolds finally has a critically and financially successful comic book movie. He redeemed Deadpool and deserves all the success the movie's getting.

Most contracts like the ones in reference are 5 years. Hell, maybe that was part of the holdup (i.e., Ryan Reynolds the one start attached to Deadpool dangling to get the financiers to invest.... BUT, he's contractually obligated to reprise Green Lantern... which no one is counting on, UNLESS he does Deadpool and it's a huge hit, and then they'll want him to do Hal Jordan again).

Well, it's nice to feel included.

I don't even remember everything I said here, but I assume I'm lumped in for thinking Reynolds wasn't the problem with the movie.

Could that be why we haven't heard anything about Hal casting? Were they waiting to see if "Deadpool" became a hit before deciding to activate Reynold's contract for more GL??
I don't know the details of Reynolds' contract, but his recent interviews have been less than flattering about his involvement with WB. He stated that he was in the dark about much of the film, including how his costume looked, until post production. I'm guessing he has no intention of returning.

If you want, you can just watch Hal alongside Wonder Woman, Pa Kent and Commissioner Gordon in "Criminal..."

I actually really liked Reynolds' Hal Jordan. I found the fault of the movie was the writing and plot, primarily. I saw no problems with his performance. I honestly would not mind if he reprised his role, but I would prefer if he would not continue on from the 2011 film continuity.
