Default Smallville... SUPERMAN revealed!

In the season finale...

Lois, Clark, Perry, and Olsen are all at the Daily Planet together, Lex Luther is running for president, and Superman is out in full force!

EDIT: Link broken! PICS ADDED BELOW INSTEAD.

Well, at least he now has the suit!!! Season 10 is gonna be AWESOME!

So, aside from the intro, what did you all think of the finale?

This was the first part of the episode... a spoiler would be saying Clark gets stabbed with kryptonite and falls of a building before it fades to black.

You know... I find it baffling that a thread that was apparently made to talk about Green Arrow's origin on the show turned into a thread that is posted in so much with things pertaining to the show that are essentially OFF TOPIC and completely OUT OF SEASON... its not like its an "official Smallville thread" or something, it was just started because of the OP's excitement of a season 8 episode.

Kinda weird to call that "THE SMALLVILLE THREAD."
I wonder what the OP would think of that... lol.

The link doesn't show anything now anyway....

Anybody have a pick of dude in the Superman suit from the opening title sequence or wherever it's from? I've seen dozens of photomanips of Welling as S-man but I HAVE to see him finally in a suit on the show. Is it any different than traditional Superman?

Threads grow. That's what happens when discussion takes place.

It is traditional superman to a T... well... what we can see of it, and its not a manip, its real, straight from the episode.

Looks like it didn't save right, but I'll do you one better... STILLS!!!

It opens up to Lois talking to Perry in his office, but it only shows an exterior shot.

Then Lois is talking to someone who can be assumed is Olsen (be it Jimmy's little brother who we saw last season or whoever, doesn't matter) as she walks into the elevator and he gives her the paper which announces Lex's run for presidency.

Then people start screaming, theres a plane heading for the planet, and we see Clark's left his desk.

Lois chases up the stairs to look out at the scene, someone cries "LOOK UP IN THE SKY!"

And Superman saves the day! (We hear Fate's voice in the background, a soundbite taken from the TV movie, Absolute Justice.)

Then Clark wakes up... a dream? Or a premonition? A package is in front of him with a note.

And so he opens the package... and behold... THE SUIT!

It was a spine tingling sequence that didn't play into the rest of the episode... like... at all... but it was AWESOME.

Meh I'd vote for him, can't be any worse than Dubya

Still it's good to see him get the suit, shame it's about five seasons later than it should've happened

Smallville is now officially a GUILTY pleasure. It is running out of species of shark to jump, and I'm pretty much just watching to see how it ends. They can't possibly go THAT many more seasons, right?

I mean, Martha Kent, superspy?
Zod (who until very recently, was completely unaware of Kryptonite's effects) just happening to find out about Blue Kryptonite, get his hands on some, and make a knife out of it, not to mention somehow deducing that it would keep him from being transported?

(I'm not surprised that Clark and his pals didn't make that deduction, despite having much more knowledge and experience in that area, and being specifically on the lookout for a solution to the problem of Clark being transported. They often seem pretty dense, Clark especially.)

Is all of this even real? It would be funny if Clark FINALLY puts the damn suit on and STILL can't fly... and wouldn't everyone that knows him immediately recognize him since he doesn't wear glasses with his human disguise?

I still don't think Clark will where the suit next season. They won't be able to tell that Clark Kent is Superman because Superman will put gel in his hair.
