Well, since he was described as wearing red and a cape, I don't think it's Earth 2 Alan. *Fingers crossed in hope*

The only things I know about Earth 2 Alan is he is young, they erased his kids from the space-time continuum, and he's into dudes. How he dresses as a GL I don't know never was inclined to look up the new Alan.

How do we know he did? I'm assuming he's dead.

As for other Earth Lanterns appearing, John Stewart is a natural lock. Very strong possibility for Baz, too, since he's Johns' baby and he's in charge. I doubt we'll see Kyle, though, as I could've sworn there was an interview a few years back where the powers-that-be said he wouldn't appear on the show, while the other three Earth Lanterns would.

I'm pretty sure in the last episode that Steam Lantern told Hal that the "Caped" Green Lantern went through the rift in space and time, to which Hal responded something like "So it is possible."

I also took it this way; that he was dead and it was just an easter egg for fanboys. Of course, they left it open enough to exploit if they so choose.

Power of will, guys! Power of will! The ring can even make the earth move!

[No, waitaminnit, don't go there... ]

Yeah! Let's see the REAL Alan Scott again!

My assumption is that Alan Scott didn't chose to leave it twas the Anti-Monitor that made him leave, ala reverse Hal Jordan.

Didn't see that part.

But there are so many questionable things in the show and even the whole GL mythos, though I just choose to sit back and ignore them.

I'll just pretend the positive-matter version of their planet blew up eons ago in the main universe and the anti-matter planet landed perfectly where the positive-matter version would be...

The stretching of the rift to fit a whole planet while Hal's ring was running low, The element 'hardtofindioum", A mastermind capable of building giant robots and can observe the anti-monitor in deep space but is unable to find a blimp that Steam Lantern used as a base. Is what killed the ep for me.

I like the Steampunk story line, and the little side story was nice, but it seemed like they really didn't put to much effort into it. Much like Challenge of the Superfriends.

To be fair, the "hardtofindium" was a joke within the story. It was just the name those two characters gave it.

But I did think about the absurdity of him not spotting their airship base, especially since they always seem to keep it nearby.

Which means they would have landed in an asteroid belt debris field.

I didn't even think about the villain's inability to find a giant steam blimp with all the technology at his disposal. LOL!

Even with all of this, I still enjoyed the episode and I'm glad the series is back. This is much better than watching Dragon Riders, or whatever that crap is called.

With one notable exception: the GLTAS comic book, which is just as good as the show.

Well, not as good as the show, but still better than any of the other four comics.

Yeah, I'd say it's close. The writing isn't quite as good (plots could be tighter), but I love reading it (it's a first-day read for me each month).

The thing is, I don't really think it's accurate to call Steam Lantern's universe as being an anti-matter universe. For one thing they reference Alan Scott who (presumably) is from the Earth 2 Universe not the Anti-matter universe (which is also known as Qward btw)

1) This is the show, not the comics. Vastly different continuity.

2) Qward is a planet within the antimatter universe, not that universe itself.

I liked it, particularly for the expansion of Aya's character.

Was it just me or did Warth (who I agree didn't look that great) sound Indian, which is kind of funny since he's an upright elephant.
