I think Mark Strong nailed Sinestro in the live action movie. He was what I always had pictured in my head growing up. He would have been great for the animated show, but that obviously wasn't going to happen. Perlman? I really didn't have a problem with him. He's not who I would have picked, but I wasn't upset. Certainly better than say, Killowog on the animated movies.

Right now I'm so happy with the animated show that I just want the good times to go on and never stop. I can even live with the lame rainbow spectrum because the stories are better and the show still revolves around Hal.

I quite enjoyed him as Sinestro gives a good take for him.

I think they did at first, but for every Hal centric episode there's 4 Razer-Aya episodes.

Absolutely as I much as like those characters, they need to give Hal more attention.

Their making me believe that they think Hal is a boring character.

My opinion about the episode itself. As much as I love Ron Perlman’s voice, I always feel he’s bland when it comes to different voices (much like Kevin Michael Richardson). You can obviously tell he’s playing Sinestro even if you didn’t check the information online. That aside this was a pretty solid episode. It was great to see hints about Sinestro’s true “dark” nature.

I liked Ron's performance for the most part. Some voice actors have a strong single "character" that suits them. This Sinestro lacked that, being more subdued, which allowed him to come across as more complex IMO. Sinestro is experienced, confident, aloof, distant, heroic, sinister... that's a lot to cover in a single episode.

These past few episodes really appeal to me and remind me of what I used to enjoy in the books. In three episodes, we've gone from discovery in a steam punk alternate world to Manhunter mayhem in the Blue Lantern base to the prisoner of Sinestro on-board the spaceship. Even with multiple titles, it feels like the books are stretched too thin retreading painfully familiar ground towards the latest big event. What did reintroducing the Shark or Tattoo Man back when have to do with the Sinestro Corps War or Blackest Night? Not too much at all, but it was certainly a lot of fun.

I'm with you 100% on this. This show is what's keeping my inner fanboy tethered to the GL franchise lately. As opposed to the comic books, which has been the case since I was 11 in 1985. I just wish the show somehow would light a fire under Geoff Johns' ass. He's certainly capable enough to make GL good again.

Well the first three episodes of the new season were all pretty much Hal centered (The New Guy, Reboot, Steam Lantern). It wasn't until last weeks episode that Razer and Aya became more of involved, though only in Blue Hope were they the main focus, not so much this weeks. And I would say that only in the episodes Razer's Edge, Into the Abyss, and Reckoning were Razer or Aya the main focus.

This joke finally came true... Hal called Sinestro "Hi, Thaal buddy"... I did laugh when I heard that.

Pearlman Supprised me. he did a decent job. Not the best Sinestro voice , but not as out of place as I thought it would be. This episode was pretty darn good.It is going to break my heart when CN tosses it for something stupid.

Just watched "Loss" a truly excellent episode, funny, sad, and so worth seeing again and again. Far better then anything else I saw on CN this morning. or any other network for that matter.

I miss Aya. She was the heart of the show. Razer is going to become fierce or languish.

And I don't think she will be gone for long. *Lower left corner*

I'm not 100% sure it's Aya but it definitely looks like her though a darker version.

I liked a lot about this episode, from the humor surrounding Zox to the action scenes to the tenderness between RAya.

But the thing I found myself really disliking in the episode was the revelation surrounding the Anti-Monitor and the Guardians' own. The Manhunters already fulfilled the role of Frankenstein's monsters run amok, so animated A-M being another earlier version greatly diminished it IMO.
What's more, this is a monumental reveal - even if it is a similar enough blunder w/ the Manhunters - and yet there is NO BUILDUP towards this discovery not even hinted at in "Steam Lantern" nor any indication of surprise whatsoever on Hal and Co.

I definitely agree that the Anti-Monitor's backstory didn't have any kind of impact it should have had.

Also, Zox was fn hilarious!
