Aya's essence might be back in the CPB since she contained a piece of Ion and that's where Ion is.

Right after we got back from MegaCon, my brother and I saw the final episodes of GL:TAS and YJ:I tape recorded. I thought this was a good episode and I almost cried at the end. It really hit me that there will be no more episodes to this amazing animated series. I might be looking way too much into this but I wonder if the ending had a double meaning. It showed that Razor will be a Blue Lantern soon but under the surface it was the creators' way of telling fans to continue hoping for the show to return in the future. I know the shows gone for good but I still have hope.

I think the creators' nod was during Appa's speech. Based on what appeared on Twitter, that is what was hinted.

It was as good an ending as was possible for a series that was well underway in it's production when they had to have found out there would be no season 2. Really well done and brought a close to all of the subplots that needed closure. It makes me sad that this is this end.

This series ended better than YJ imo. No cliff hanging threats. Just the hope that the deceased still live.

Would you have liked the Apokolips scenes cut out? I liked YJ's end. It shows that there's always danger looming on the horizon.

I would have ended with Wally's funeral then the various members of the League & the Team get a call. No specific threats, all members of the Light dead or in jail.

Looks like Mister Ed called it. Aya makes an 11th hour sacrifice to stop the Manhunter threat via virus. Overall, it was a good episode and a great wrap-up to the series, but I question Aya coming back around so easily. She's slapped around Razer several times previously without an ounce of regret, but this one particular time, she's worried about his well being?

Slapped around? Sure. But has he EVER been seriously injured? No, not even during Scar's attempt to KILL her, when Hal seemed very worried about Razer not being out of range. I think an argument can be made that, all along, while she may have been striking out at Razer, she wasn't actually trying to hurt him, and in fact reflexively protected him.

I will note that they went one better than my hypothetical, by making sure to establish that Aya was NOT, in fact, responsible for a seemingly horrific amount of death BEFORE they had her sacrifice herself. And they did it, not by removing the responsibility, but by removing the apparent deaths. Well done.

Yeah, that was a bit sudden, wasn't it ... but she is female, so ...
I assume the implication is that Razer's pity combined with Hal's plea and the info on her origin altogether did the trick.

At any rate, I agree with Mr. Ed (and we've had a similar debate with SD80MC on "Rebirth" about this) that Aya needed some kind of atoning act and this was a logical, semi-conclusive one to end on a triumphant note. Of course, the revelation that she didn't actually kill anybody in those systems (which I actually suspected since no one had named even an estimated number of casualties) gave a little lea way for her full return (had the show continued). I would think destroying even uninhabited systems would create problems (eliminates the potential for life there, disrupts gravitational forces, etc), but I don't think the show was going for that. In essence, she was going to do something really bad but only ended up causing a ruckus.

Are you the only one turned on by a young, naive computer girl from a children's show? . . . Sadly, no.

Aya's actions did result in the death of the Zamaron Princess though. So that's at least one death associated with her shenanigans.

LOL! I think what may have contributed to your arousal was Jennifer Hale's sexy voice. She's a very nice lady. I got to meet her at SacAnime last year.

Aya was voiced by Grey DeLisle not Jennifer Hale

Hale voiced Gi'ata. Who was all about the sex, anyway.

Razer has really grown on me, I kind of hope he becomes a blue lantern, but at the same time I kind of hope he stays red lantern. I hope I see aya in season 2. I am sure we will she disappeared once before and came back.

around here, yes. GL TAS wiki does say she died at end of season 1 if she doesnt come back then she doesnt.

@big daddy dave, go ahead and be that kid.

Razer, afaik, is only in the animated series, never recalled him in any comics or graphic novels. I watched all of the animated series episodes so any news you bring me wont be different. I am aware the show may or may not be brought back. If it does that would be cool.

Yeah...about that...(puts arm around kid in consoling manner)

They cancelled Green Lantern The Animated Series. The last episode of season one IS the last episode.
