Kingdom Come is a separate universe (Earth-22), so there was never any danger. (That was a HUGE mistake/oversight by the writers.) But the Entity stated more than once that Max's job was just to stall for time, and it manipulated him into doing so just like the others.

Bear in mind, for the events of BD to play out as they did, the Entity was manipulating everyone the entire time.

Just because it's a seperate universe doesn't mean that the current DCU earth can't somehow morph into Kingdom Come.

Kingdom Come is DC's official/unofficial "end of DCU" story thing.

It just occurred to me, that if they are serious about running with Superman dropping his US citizenship, Justice League International would be the perfect place for him...

Same thing occurred to me but I really doubt they're gunna run with Goyer's story in any big way.

Oh, I'm not advocating it. It was just a thought that occurred to me.
