Default "Green Lantern" movie still going forward?

http://blog.newsarama.com/2008/05/28/screen-bites-56/

"• Although the Justice League movie has stalled indefinitely, Green Lantern appears to be inching forward. “Whatever free time I have left is pretty much thinking about Green Lantern,” writer/director Greg Berlanti says in a profile. “That’s all I’ve got time for mentally right now.” He’s co-writing the picture with Marc Guggenheim and Michael Green. [Out.com]"

He's been writing that script for months, though.

small update courtesy of IESB: So which WB films are contenders to get on the fast track for Summer 2009?

I don't know how many films in total are attempting to push forward but we have heard of a handful of potentials I've listed below.

The first is David Goyer's SUPERMAX: GREEN ARROW. A "Green Arrow goes to prison" film written by Justin Marks. According to our sources, the film has been renamed to just GREEN ARROW, I like that a whole lot better. I am hearing with the success of Marvel's Iron Man, considered a second tier comic book character, certain execs over Warner Bros. believe it's the right time to introduce the world to Oliver Queen, his bag of trick arrows and green spandex.

There are also attempts from the studio to get The Flash, The Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, Shazam or other DC characters going soon but most likely those projects are still years away.

I'll believe it when I see a trailer.

I don't put too much stock in DC movies getting made these days. If it's not Superbats or Vertigo, it's on a slow boat to fucking China. I'm sure they could fast track a Catwoman 2 though!

Sadly... I agree with this sentiment.
