Yeah, I saw this and thought of posting it in dumb**s thread, but climbing/hiking is a tricky thing. For all I know, an experienced, fully clothed climber might've had the same accident. Either way, it is dumb.

^I read the book Death in Yellowstone and there were several known deaths of people lining up for a shot and falling off a cliff (mostly at Upper and Lower Falls) well before digital photography or the term "selfie." Then you get nutty stuff like a parent actually putting their toddler on back of a buffalo for a good photo. I was only there for a quick vacation and a ranger broke off a conversation with the fam to go tell some idiot not to pet the elk.

How long did she sit on that thing? It looks like in the initial photos it isn't even in the water. Did she sit there waiting for the tide to come in or something?
