Ken Patera indeed sucked hard. Even as a young babyface loving Hulkamaniac, I just couldn't stand him. He was on the back end of his career when he came back from prison though. His only claim to fame in the WWF was that he was the second ever Intercontinental champion in 1980.

Not really wrestling related per say, but it does involve DDP. This man, Arthur Boorman, is/was a disabled vet from the Gulf War. So many parachute drops ended up causing him significant damage to his spine, doctors told him he'd never walk without crutches again. He believed them, for 15 years, then decided to make a change. He heard of DDP and his program (Yoga and other stuff) and sent him an e-mail with his story. DDP took an interest in him and helped him get back on his feet (literally).

The rest will speak for itself, pretty touching, enough to bring a tear to your eye.

Not sure how long WWE Magazine has been featuring the 'Alternate Realities' articles (something of a wrestling version of WHAT IF), but here's the first one I've become aware of.

That storyline would have ensured that the Monday Night Wars never happened.. with WCW squashing WWF!

This whole alternate reality scenario would have taken place in 1994. Which means RAW was unopposed on Monday nights, and WCW was regulated to their main show airing on Saturday night. Though it's not like WCW's product was exactly spectacular. This was back in the days of Jim Duggan defeating Steve Austin in 35 seconds, "Das Wunderkind", or hey, Hulk Hogan vs. The Butcher (aka Brutus the Barber) for your main event at Starrcade.

However, just having Hulk Hogan signing with WCW was certainly a big deal in the wrestling world back in 1994.

I went on them referencing the Monday Night War near the bottom about Luger, and completely forgot the part of this taking place in 1994. Facts? Ain't nobody got time for that!

WCW still had some pretty good stuff going on in 1994. Mostly before Hogan and friends came in, obviously. Regal as TV champion, Austin vs Steamboat, Bagwell and Scorpio were a fun tag team (Damn you, Patriot!), Flair, Rude, etc.

Definitely. Pretty good night. Though Rumble is always a PPV to watch for the match itself. Punk was great on the mic. That commercial break was bad though. They should have planned that out better.

The commercial break was planned. It was obvious they were doing it to show that Punk is the champ and can do what he wants. He's done that so much during his promos. Where he would go against "the producers" and continue to talk when he's not suppose to.

The RR might actually be worth buying this year. Punk was good on the mic, but they dragged his promo segment out too long. Rock was electrifying and funny as always. Overall, it was a fun ending to the show... and we all could see that Rock Bottom coming from a mile away.
