Did A Search And Didnt Find A Thread So Here It Is, The Official X-Men Thread. A Place To Talk All Things Mutants.

Ive Been Reading Uncanny Off And On For Awhile Now Since Messiah Complex. I Just Recently Finished Utopia And I Thought It Was Great. Almost Caught Up.

What X-Books Does Everyone Read Here??

I tend to pick up anything with Juggernaut in it, but I haven't been reading the monthly's since X-men #200.

I wish Juggernaut would come back.

No.

Within the first arc alone, Ellis & Bianchi surpassed Whedon & Cassaday.

With this new arc, Phil Jimenez isn't as good as Bianchi, especially with Frank D'Armata ruining things.

Still, it gets things done, and these last two issues have been a blast.

Yes! You saw my comment before the rabid Whedon fans mauled me!

I like Whedon & Cassaday. Yes, their run was universally acclaimed, and it is good.

However, it is highly overrated. It was universally acclaimed because it's very non-threatening, and it followed a run that was extremely threatening.

So, all of the fans who's minds were blown by Grant Morrison were able to return and enjoy some soft-served X-Men goodness. The irony is, Whedon's run really couldn't exist without Morrison's.

So, would you like the Omnibus? Yes. Is it the best X-Men stuff ever? No.

I used to read X Factor when it first came out. Im reading the Astonishing Xmen trades right now. Im more of a DC guy, so most of my Marvel books are in trade form. But I will be reading Cable and Dark Xmen(Nate Grey!!!).
