They aren't journalists in the traditional sense, and in the case of movie news, they're usually not reporting information from a confidential source that needs to be protected. Again, most of the time, bloggers are just repeating a story found elsewhere. So when I say "reveal the source", what I am ACTUALLY saying is "POST THE LINK TO THE SITE THIS INFORMATION CAME FROM ORIGINALLY." Because 99 times out of 100, that blogger was just repeating someone else's story.

Now then, if he IS privy to confidential information from an inside source, he needs to do a few things:
  1. Clearly state that this is a story exclusive to his blog, a story that he's breaking.
  2. He needs to clearly state that this info came from a source whose identity is being protected because it's a source within the production and they could get in trouble for violating a Non-Disclosure Agreement.
  3. NAME THE ARTIST(S) RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CONCEPT IMAGES. That's just giving credit where credit is due, and thus is always the right thing to do.
Any blogger that has any knowledge whatsoever about what it means to be a responsible journalist would already have done these things. I like Abin, Kilowog looks good, but I don't like Tomar-Re. His beak just looks weird in that art. Reminds me of something else I've seen that also looked a little weird... maybe one of the aliens in Barlowe's Guide to Extraterrestrials or something.
I don't consider it a "blog" as blogs are typically run by one individual who updates one basic page.

CosmicBookNews.com has an Editor/Publisher, Managing Editor, Contributing Editor in addition to almost a dozen other contributing writers.

Its not someone else's story. I would give credit where credit is due. Comicbookmovies.com gave us credit for the story.

Don't be pissed just 'cause we beat everyone else to the punch.

Its a confidential source for a reason. The story was run this way for a reason as well...

Kilowog, Tomar Re and Abin Sur look awesome and if that is how the Green Lantern Costume is going to look like in the movie on Tomar Re than that is going to be extremely awesome!

Again, that sacrilegious piece of shite is from Brian Murray, an artist that is NOT working on this production, thankfully, so you should NOT be seeing that suit in the film.

I think he may have meant that he would like to see the Tomar-Re concept costume on Hal, but I could be wrong.

Some info on a few members of the crew.

Cinematographer Dion Beebe won an Oscar for his work on Memoirs of a Geisha and was previously Oscar nominated for his work on Chicago.
Costume Designer Ngila Dickenson won an Oscar for her Costume Designs on Lord of the Rings: Return of the King.
Production Designer Grant Major won an oscar for his work in the same role for Lord of the Rings: Return of the King and also did that same position in Peter Jackson's King Kong remake.
Art Director François Audouy did concept art for Avatar and I Am Legend, was Art Director for Watchmen and Transformers, and was part of the art crew for all three Spider-Man movies.

The Kilowog pic and the Tomar Re pic are real. I can confirm those.

I really wish sites would stop using that horrible fan mockup job with Ryan in the GL outfit with the bare hands.

Wow,just...wow.
I really didn't think that a GL movie would work mainly because I couldn't think of a film-maker that would get GL and would just make it another super hero movie but after seeing those designs for Tomar and Kilowog I'm actually excited!!!

I'm not as happy with the Guardians as I am with Tomar and Abin, but it's still not bad at all. I guess what bothers me is that they look sort of frail and decrepit. Overall though, not bad.

But they also look wise and all knowing...Kinda glad they aren't miniature like the comic too...

Actually, expect them to be small, from what I read in the script they've got really long robes, so I doubt that the concept is an indication of height, it's most likely them hovering with very long robes.

Oh..ok...Well the extremely long robes look cool then because you can't tell they are small....But are these concepts what they will look like in the actual film or just concept art?

Wow, I can honestly say, out of everything so far, This is by far the worst. It barely resembles Sinestro at all, and what's with the mullet and goatee???

I think "barely resembles Sinestro at all" is a tad melodramatic. It's Sinestro with a different hairstyle. I prefer his comic look, but perhaps they thought making him a Hitler analogue in appearance might be a bit too obvious, especially considering his name's "Sinestro". In terms of Sinestro himself, I think that appearance would be alright for the movie. But the GL uniform he's wearing is a bit busy - I prefer the clean-cut look of the uniforms Kilowog and Tomar-Re are wearing.

I can agree with that. Though I think a goatee and mullet is unnecessary, there's nothing wrong with slicked back hair and a mustache, sure a mustache isn't fashionable, but he's an alien!
