I just read over some information forwarded from Andrew. This is, in fact, true.
Apparently, they finally did take notice of us, and were surprisingly unhappy.

The obvious copyright infringement of images and the various copyrighted videos that were illegally posted on youtube that we went ahead and posted on our news page (like the New Frontier preview, which was directly mentioned in said contact) has lead DC/WB to this decision. Thus the board will be shut down along with the site at the end of the week.

Why is it that they have to begrudge the fans the right to have a DECENT messageboard to go to, to talk about our favorite comic?

So, any plans to create another forum under a different name?

We're not the only site. Shortly after I recieved an email from the guys over at the Superman Homepage confirming that they, too, had recieved a similar cease and desist order, Jim got through and spoke to a WB representative and tehy confirmed that they were seeking to shut down quite a few fansites. They also gave us the number to WB's legal department... like I said before, don't get your hopes up. It's more than likely curtains, as Andrew says.
