Not a bad idea! It's like doing the GL version of the barbie DCU editions. Just like the did for Wonder Woman, Supergirl and Batgirl.

Hmm... Get a Barbie and spray paint it blue. Lyssa´s uniform is not overly complex. It would need her evil smirk instead of the "happy" smiley face Barbie has.

I'm picking up the 13" Sinestro tomorrow! What I saw in the solicits looked good, so I ordered it. Besides, I'd like another GL figure to go with the 2 13" GLs I have already.

I'm hoping Alan Scott is next!

nope. One of the major drawbacks with living out of a backpakc is i havn't any room for many toys or comics. So i only buy smaller things that i must have

When one of you picks this up, could you post some pictures of the final product?

I'm really skeptical as to whether or not this costume will look good in fabric, and that's going to be the deciding factor for me. If the costume looks really good, I'll pick one up. But if it looks as cheesy as it does in the solicitation photos of the prototype, I'll pass.

This may only be because it's the prototype, but that picture makes it look as though his power battery does NOT light-up, whereas the previously released Green Lantern Deluxe Figures DO come with a light-up power battery.

Also, I'm pretty sure the colors on the Sinestro Corps symbol are reversed. I hope that's fixed on the final production version.

I like, but I have to choose. This month was really expensive when it came to figures and comics, so I´ll have to pass. Looks a cool display piece tho.

Thanks for the pic! It looks okay, but then again, looks a bit like Hitler. =o\ I'll most likely be passing on the dolls. The GL looks really good, but the bigger toys tend to be very pricey.

We now have images courtesy of an eBay seller... who really needs to buy himself a better digital camera. Digital zoom does NOT cut it and makes for crappy pictures!

So, here's what we know:

DC Direct DID make the final product's costume look as crappy as the one on the prototype. I was hoping for a metallic gold fabric, similar to what was used for the sash and cuffs on Captain Marvel (AKA Shazam!)
They DID ship it with the colors on his symbols BACKWARDS. Not cool. It reminds me of the bad old days of the Super Friends cartoon, when the cheap, overseas animators were constantly reversing the colors on Batman's symbol (making it a yellow bat against a black oval.)
The figure DOES include a light-up power battery. So, you know, at least they got that part right.

Oh well, DC Direct just saved me some money by screwing this one up. Too bad they didn't include his original black & blue outfit. If he had that, I would've bought him for sure.

I'm still planning to pick this up. Well, actually I've got it on layaway at my LCS. I'd like to have a Sinestro to display with my 13" Hal figure, and while this one isn't perfect it'll do. At least it seems they gave Sinestro multiple hands in various positions as opposed to those horrible bendy hands like Hal has.
