im here because of geoff johns
i just read and purchased all Geoff Johns green lantern titles after reading rebirth, the man is the most prolific and reassuring hero writer in years. i am extremely excited about his flash rebirth but the GL(/corps/sinestro.corps) lore has become an expansive fascination at his fingertips.
i just ordered a subscription to Green Lantern from DC's website and it says it may take up to 12 weeks to get my first issue!?! what the hell is that about, three months! i am wondering now if i will miss out on the "Blackest Night" saga. has anyone ever ordered a subscription through DC before? Does it really take 3 months to get? And Do you really receive them 3 weeks after they are on the news stand? that's the first time i have ever heard of a company taking money and not providing the goods for a quarter of the year. i wonder if its better to cough up the extra dough and get my comics at the shop? i was going to order 5 other subs but if they take that long to get i think id rather spend an extra 10 bucks a month to have a current subscription. Welcome to the boards. I had a subscription for GL a long time ago, but I ended just getting it at my comic shop every month because it took FOREVER...also they ship it in a pretty crappy plastic sleeve with a thin piece of paper with it so damage is inevitable.
If you have a comic shop close to you, I recommend setting up a pull list.
