Better than both the Salami and the Bologna combined
|
If the 40's were the "Golden Age" and the 60's and 70's were the "Silver Age" 80's were the "Bronze Age," What comes next? I guess the 90's would be the Iron Age, but what is after that?
Copper, Tin, and Brass Ages? Starting out as a Marvel fan, I never heard much about this metal age thing until I began reading DC years later.

I think we can call this age anything, not until at least 10yrs from now. And I would say that the 90's were the gimmick age

Chrome Age? It's like silver, but really, it's just a pale imitation of a much more valuable material.

Would you still call it the modern age 15 years from now? That would sound kinda strange calling something from almost 30 years ago the "modern" age.

Attention Whore

Well the 90s will probably become known as the Dark Age lol. I mean Death of Superman, Knightfall, Emerald Twilight, and on Newsarama people had some serious hate for that Clone Saga stuff in Spider-Man.

Dark Age of comics... heh... I like that.
So it would go Golden Age, Silver Age, Bronze Age, Dark Age, Chrome Age... yeah... that works... lets roll with that. |

It'll be called the Iron Pyrite Age, because while the surface is shiny, the interior is crud (goddamn you and your Dark Reign, Marvel!!!).

The "next" age? We will always be in the "Modern Age" of comics. We just have to reclassify passing decades.

Well, in Morrison's Marvel Boy, which came out in 2000, it made the statement that comics are cyclical, and that comics today are very similar to the golden age.
But that was nine years ago. Are we in the New Silver Age now?

How about the aluminum can age? Shiny and pretty on the outside but lacking substance and hollow on the inside.
