Anyone up for another draft?

With the Amalgams over, I'm in the mood for another draft. Same rules as before, different set of characters to pick from. In the past, we've done heroes, villains, video game characters and amalgams, so what's left to do? I think before we settled on the video game characters, there was talk about either movie characters or movie villains. How about doing one of those? Or does anyone else have a better idea?

I'll update this list every couple of days until we have enough contestants for the draft:

Didn't you guys already do videogame characters? I'd be done for movie characters. Or even movie heroes/villains to make it a bit more challenging.

Someone would still have to explain how voting works because what I've seen is a mess.

Well not really voting...but what the criteria on voting is. What if someone drafts a great team but doesn't want to write some "fanfic" story about these people? I guess I'm saying that instead of saying "Write A story about your characters doing A or B", we could just have people do whatever they feel is necessary to obtain votes. Give people like 3 days to do what they can to entice people to vote for your selections. Whether that be fanfics, details of their actual origin, posters, signatures, and everything else you can think of but never limited to just one of those or mandatory. Because sometimes...awesomeness just speaks for itself.

Were there problems with the voting in the Amalgam draft?

PM spamming got a bit irritating as did the players who campaigned on podcasts and the like.
If people want to run a campaign I feel it should be restricted to their sigs and avatars.

Public voting, as Mav instigated in the later Amalgam rounds, should probably be kept.
