RE: shorts-If I can get away with it, I will. Just did my seasonal change over and put all the winter shit back in the closet. Shorts and white t-shirts till we get the next frost. My legs are like toothpics, but could care less.

My dad's mom used to tell me we all had "Mediterranean skin" which I guess accounts for the olive hue to my body. Dad's parents were from Italy, so I wonder if that has any connection to the Romanian thing.

My grandmother and mother are both from Italy so high five!
I used to tan very nicley when i was a little boy,so much in fact that some people thought it was mulatto.
Nowadays i can still tan but i'm not as much outside as before,but intend to change that this summer.
At least i make my fully Norwegian friends look pale beside me in the summer so i am happy.

Unfortunately, tonight we had to put down my poor one-eyed, toothless cat who was not yet six but had a bad heart apparently (she was very listless today). We always knew she would not live a long life because she had a severe infection when she was a stray kitten which led to the loss of her eye (by necessary surgery) and scarring on her lungs, but still it didn't seem like it would be this soon. So, RIP Dorrit.

Thanks. I think she was happy. She was certainly a lot better off than she was "on the streets" as a kitten.

I like most animals and I loved my last dog, but starting with the cat I got when I was about 9 I have become a full-blown cat person. They suit my personality--docile, stand-offish loners (more ore less) but fiercely loyal when earned.
