It has nothing to do with Alan Moore, and how he feels about it. The man doesn't even care, at least if you believe the interview.
The point is DC wouldn't make a decision like this. There would be too much backlash from the fans. Hell, I think even more casual fans would be off put by this. If any of the casual comic fans have even read The Watchmen.

All it takes is one good pitch and a creator that sells. If he wasn't Marvel-exclusive, I'd bet that Millar would be interested.

Interesting. For argument's sake, let's say your scenario pans out. A creator comes in with a pitch that knocks the socks off everyone.
Who would it be, realistically?
Yes, and when it comes to the comic book form, most of that money comes from hardcore fans. Who pick up their books every Weds. on a weekly basis. Many of these fans worship the ground Moore places his crazy feet on. It would be an uprising I tells ya. Plus, for new generations who probably haven't even read The Watchmen, why would they be interested?Originally posted by TazzMission View Posti read the trade of watchmen it was great but lets face it jv money is all that matters to dc. now a days its all about the new generation of comic fans.Last edited by JohnnyV; 07-22-2010, 06:02 PM.
