      Dean continues his protest.

Actually, that blinking Ewok kind of freaked me out.

just focus it on leia becoming a jedi and have luke do what i pitched as an idea.

now if they do a prequel trilogy before episode 1,2,3 they could try to attempt something from the knights of the old republic era. or if worse came to worse create a trilogy on dath plauegis with palpatine as his apprentice
Did you even read what I said? Make it after Luke has opened the temple. Cast some new guy as a Jedi and make the story about him.

One is to set up his reappearance in a later film (which is almost certain to never happen at this point, I think, but if it WERE...).

The other is solely to please EU fans of Fett, despite such a scene's total irrelevance to the movie at hand.

Can you guess which I think would be a legitimate reason?

It is one thing to toss in some little easter egg in the background of a scene that actually advances the plot. It is another to unecessarily bring the viewer BACK to a location that is no longer relevant to the movie, solely to show them the survival of a character that is ALSO no longer relevant to the movie.

(But yeah, Boba Fett went down like a punk, and I agree that was kind of a shame, and have no problem with the notion that he ended up surviving somehow. I just don't want to see it in the film. )
There's a pretty famous director, his name escapes me at the moment, he was or is trying to convince G. Luc to make a film with Boba as the protagonist.

          Obi-Wan shoots first.

There should never be any more Star Wars films. Especially if Lucas has passed on or isn't involved.

You need a few things to give a Star Wars film legitimacy. C-3P0 and R2-D2. If Daniels isn't around (and he's not a young man) then it loses credibility. Also, John Williams is getting pretty long in the tooth, and without him...it's not a Star Wars film.

Finally, if Lucas isn't there, fuck it. He doesn't have to direct obviously, but his fingerprints have to be all over it.

And there's no point doing another movie if it isn't a trilogy of 7-9. And that would take another 10 or more years to do, and they haven't even thought about starting. So if they CAN'T finish part nine with all the necessary people (and I'm assuming something bad would happen and we'd lose a Williams partway through), then it's best to leave well enough alone and consider it done at 6 movies.

Any other opinion is just wrong.

timothy zahn or drew kapyrshine should take over regarding animated cartoons on cn. i like there novels alot and i just feel we can get something way better with him instead of the clone wars bs we currently have.

the thing about drew is he did the darth bane novels and timothy did the heir to the empire book.

in fact drew left the mass effect team to go work on the old republic

They could maybe do it in the Era between the Yuuzhan Vong War and the Legacy comics, or maybe in the Old Republic Era.

Yes, it does. That's why I wouldn't mind seeing a new trilogy set in the Old Republic.
