I remember I was still working retail on the 10th, but was off on the 11th. Could not sleep that night after getting off work, so I basically just watched movies back-to-back. By morning, I was really starting to wind down, when I happened to turn the tv to NBC and listened to reporting on a plane hitting the WTC.

This was a few minutes before the second plane struck.

I was in complete shock and disbelief in what I was seeing, but I went upstairs and woke up my parents telling them what had happened. Watching the rest of the events unfold on the tv that day kept us in a decidedly somber mood. I distinctly remember that.

Back then I was doing security in a strip club, and got off work around 6 am. When I got home I went straight to bed. I woke up around 3pm that day and turned on the TV. I couldn't believe it. I thought it was just happening, but didn't realise that it had already happened. I just watched the news all the way up until I had to go to work.

We've already had this discussion, there is already a mosque like 2 blocks away from wtc and its been there for years.

No, theres a thread thats like a year old about it, you just never search.

Lets keep religion, racism, and anything else out of this.

Realisitically the people that post in here should have only one post in this thread, the one discussing where you were, other than that theres nothing in particular to discuss.

I was looking forward to the responses of those that live in the NY area. Godmera, Tazer, A-Train... Where were you guys? Perhaps even after ten years, the subject is still too sore.
