I don't think we're alone in the universe, however, given the age of the observable universe- which is about 15 billion years- it's unlikely that any species has advanced enough to tackle the theory of relativity; which states that mass cannot move beyond the speed of light. This is a really important factor in playing "what if" games, because without faster than light travel, there just isn't much of a chance that aliens are going to be regularly visiting us from beyond our galaxy.

There are of course theories that we can move space itself, but the energy output required for that would be so tremendous that I am having a hard time understanding why our primitive asses could possibly be of interest to such a developed species.

Movies and fantasy about space travel and aliens are fun, but that's all it is....just good fun.
the one report that hasent been debunked is the betty and barney hills case

im not sure if you read or saw the documentary on that but its very interesting and basicly how the whole little grey alien started

in fact spielberg even got the idea of the ending from that for close encounters

thats one big case that hasent till this day been debunked

Not true. There are several noted discrepancies in the "case", but again eyewitness reports are not reliable sources for scientific observation. In the case you mentioned, there were a lot of notable similarities to popular sci-fi films. Specifically Invaders from Mars and the Outer Limits. That's hardly an undisputed case.
Now you'd never call Erwin a "Wussy"
Nor label his working day "cushy"

but explain the star map? i mean even if the story is bs that is still a major shot in the dark ? i dont think anyone is that lucky to somehow make up a chart and years later find it via space telescope

Dude, we've had detailed star charts for hundreds of years. And even if they hadn't, there are so many stars in the sky that with a good enough telescope anyone could randomly draw a star set and claim a greater significance.

Enjoy, Carl Sagan tackles the star map just as I tried to explain it, but with visual aids, somewhere around the 6 minute mark.

              • When I was 8 I was abducted and then returned 8 year later. I was then visited again so that the alien could get the star charts from my mind because he hit a power pole and wiped his data. He kind of sounded like pee wee Herman. It was weird.

I'm an astronomy student, do you know how far EVERYTHING is from earth?

You may have a hard time believing that someone could randomly pick out a star system with no previous knowledge, but truthfully it's not that hard to believe to anyone whose educated on the subject. Heres an image of the star field around Proxima Centauri....(it's the red one).

In just this one picture alone, you could pick out any number of random star patterns with a high degree of accuracy. The odds are about on par with discovering a blue bonnet in a field of blue bonnets. It's not very impressive when you think about it critically and with knowledge on the subject.

I'll let you in on another secret, before you try to hail the binary star system as some sort of anomaly.....binary star systems aren't rare, either.

                  • NEW UFO “Mothership” in Norway |

AMAZING UFO footage recorded in Narvik (North Norway) in the National Park of Abisko, uploaded on May 2012, no date specified.

This sightings reminds me to the “mothership UFO” recorded in Mexico on May 2009, where one object released many other smaller objects to the sides and it was recorded from two different angles. So in this new footage you can see lot´s of lights appearing from one point and scattering to the right.

It´s a shame that the original audio was supplanted by music…

                        • cant confirm or deny eh?

Will Smith and his son Jaden recently had a close encounter of the presidential kind.
While the Smiths were visiting President Barack Obama as part of Easter celebrations in April, Jaden, now 13, could not withhold a pressing question he had for the leader of the free world. Will Smith, who stars in "Men in Black 3" (in theaters May 25), explained during a recent interview with BBC Radio 1: "I was at the White House with my family and we were getting a tour and, you know, Barack and Michelle and Sasha and Malia... And it's me, Jada and the kids and we're walking through the White House. And the night before Jaden had said to me, 'Dad, I got to ask the president about the aliens.' I was like, 'Dude, no.' It's not cool. It's not cool. It's embarrassing."
[Related: 'Men in Black 3′ exclusive clip reveals monowheel action]
The Obamas led the Smiths to the Situation Room -- the White House's "nerve center" where Obama and his senior security team famously observed real-time updates during the U.S. mission that killed Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden. Apparently the room inspired Jaden to strike out against his father's wishes: "...Jaden gets the look in his eyes and he leans over and says, 'Dad, what's my punishment?' And I was like, 'Jaden, do not.' And you know, Barack is talking about the Situation Room and Jaden says, 'Excuse me, Mr. President.' I was like, 'Hey, Barack, man…' And Barack said, 'Don't tell me.' And in perfect form, and this is why he's the president, and he stopped and looked at Jaden said, 'The aliens, right?'"
The president went on, according to Smith, saying: "'I can neither confirm nor deny the existence of extraterrestrials, but I can tell you if there had been a top-secret meeting and if there would have had to have been a discussion about it, it would have taken place in this room.'"

Incidentally, the White House weighed in on the whole alien thing in September, saying in an official statement:
The U.S. government has no evidence that any life exists outside our planet, or that an extraterrestrial presence has contacted or engaged any member of the human race. In addition, there is no credible information to suggest that any evidence is being hidden from the public's eye.
The statement goes on to acknowledge that while the existence of alien life is probable, given the distances between stars and planets, it's highly unlikely we would ever make contact with extra terrestrials.
