believe me i learned the hard way and i live by i dont care if people like me or not. my attitude is i can only be me and what people see is what people get. its not about acting hard or trying to be cool or popular or play the disorder card for attention . im just so sick of this whole thing where people in general have to pretend to be someone there not.

the only reason i even chimed in this thread at all really was because it was to good to pass up and i can kick myself for not being here when it first got started.


truth be told and not to bring up the past but if i recall i think you and i had a misunderstanding in another thread where you mentioned something about my past history on here wich i admit sometimes makes me question about your replies. thats fine and dandy whatever but what happened in the past is the past all you can do now is focus on whats happening now in the present. and not to sound rude or whatever but i dont expect to one day hang out with someone from the forum. its not a slam or anything i just simply dont see it happening because im just not a social guy period.

This isn't directed to you so much as my hearing this exact thing (this principle) from a bunch of people. Occasionally, I hear it from someone who is a minority or is being picked on, but mostly it's from people trying to justify being a jerk to others. It sounds good in principle, but what if the real you likes to curse out toddlers, punch cops, and spit on old people? Should you really do that just because you're being true to yourself? Moderating our behavior in public is part of being civilized.

Again, I'm not saying you're at that level. I'm just saying not moderating one's self is a dangerous and often rude policy.

Yes, and again I'm not directing this at Tazz either, but I've found that I often hear this "I don't care what others think about me" mantra from people that in fact DO care, at least insofar as it effects how others treat them. What they often REALLY mean, IMHO, is, "I don't think I should HAVE to care what other people think. My actions should not have any bearing on how others treat me." The guy who has decided to tattoo his entire head, then says he "doesn't care what other people think" as justification, but goes on to complain about how he can't get a job isn't so much not caring what others think, but declaring that he believes what other people think about him should never have any negative consequences for him.

And actually, I can sympathize with that in certain circumstances, especially as regards aspects of oneself that one has no control over. But when you start applying it to decisions to curse like a sailor in all social situations, or tattoo a naked lady across your forehead, then my sympathy wanes...

no rational sane person would swear at a kid . let me give you an example that people dont see on here. if kids are around i dont cuss when pregnant women or kids are around as a smoker i go to a different area just because i am killing myself slowly through smoking dosent mean that person does.

you know how many times on here i have said id love to see rapists and pedophiles executed? just because i said i would like to see people like that put down dosent mean i will go out and do it. i got 4 or 5 of them that live on the same property . but there are probably some people who would do something about it.


when i say i dont care i spent pretty much my whole life worrying about what others think of me and let me be more honest it didnt help. thats why i learned to finally say you know what if there that hard up about something i said in regards to jokes and im not refering to what is going on in here but thats on them because what they see is what they get.

ok so i was forced to ask my "gilrfriend" what kind of perfume she likes/uses (cause no one here was helping) and she turned me on to "Ralph Lauren 'Romance'" so i maybe picking that up sometime next week

or maybe work out a arrangement where the amount of money on a gift should be deducted from the payment ion pays this woman. so instead of paying $160 or $200 deduct say 50 of the cost of the gift from that price
