That's like making a version of "The Flash" that doesn't run fast, but uses the name as an acronym for Fire Launching American Super Hero, and simply shoots fiery blasts from his hands.
They'll probably get to him shrinking eventually. I would like to think that they haven't developed this ability, so that it wouldn't completely detract attention from Arrow. Thing is, a war suit that flies and shoots plasma blasts is a far cry from shrinking.

Yeah. I figure it will mortify "Dial H" purists (if there is such a creature), but having no real investment in the original comics, this sounds to me like it COULD be fun and amusing, lighthearted superhero fare.

Or it could suck. Always that possibility.

      • I believe Ray Palmer will developer the shrinking technology. In one of the episode of Flash (IIRC) when he got hold of one of the mechanical bees he said something about nano technology being the answer he was looking for.

          • Dan DiDio And Jim Lee Address Gerry Conway's Concerns, In Letter To Creators
            Dear Talent,

DC Entertainment’s talent community is extraordinarily important to us, and we value your many contributions to DC’s legendary stable of characters and world-class stories. We pride ourselves on being the premier destination for top talent.

Recently, there have been questions regarding DC’s credit and equity policies, and we wish to assure you that no changes have been made to either of these policies that in any way diminish the credit or equity that we’ve been extending to our talent for nearly four decades.

As part of our ongoing mission to attract and retain the best artists and writers in the industry, we are looking to build off of and improve on current practices by finding ways to increase the frequency of such payments and to proactively compensate equity stakeholders above and beyond the usual standards when their characters are the driving principals of new productions. With the dramatic increase in the use of DC characters across all media, there will be more and more uses of our characters across our businesses. This is great news for all of you!

We have tremendous respect for the creative contributions of the writers and artists who bring DC’s characters to life, as reflected by our long-standing business practice of rewarding talent for those valuable contributions. We welcome any questions you may have about credit, character equity or any other matter as we continue our efforts to improve the ways we recognize, compensate and reward our talent.

            Sincerely,

            Dan & Jim

            • So, are they calling him a liar, or what? I mean, they may not be using those words, but that letter reads like a total denial of any of the issues he brought up, by saying that nothing has changed in the entire history of the policy.

Oh I don't think they're call him a liar, they'd be fucking idiots too since Conway has already posted the response he received when he filed a creator equity request:

We have looked into your equity request for Caitlin Snow, but you are not eligible for equity in the character, as she first appeared in the New 52 series Fury of Firestorm. That said, if Caitlin Snow eventually becomes Killer Frost on the Flash TV show, you will receive participations for Killer Frost. The creators of Caitlin Snow are NOT eligible for equity either, as that character is derivative of Killer Frost, created by you and Al Milgrom.
I think this is them saying they're going to "improve" their policy, by which I mean make it actually work like it's suppose to, instead of publicly admitting that they were fucking over creators.

                • I still think it boils down to calling him a liar without actually calling him a liar. He detailed how the process changed drastically from what it was in the past, and they are trying to say that it hasn't changed at all. Whether they actually come out and say it, that amounts to calling him a liar, at least in my book, which IS incredibly stupid, since, as you say, he has documentation, which he has already shared.

                      • ^Meh, those are kind of a cool idea, but they wouldn't fit where I keep my blu-rays and I wouldn't want to go to my top shelf (where I keep my trades) every time I wanted to watch one of the movies.

                        • Yeah, it's cool but I'll pass. Reminds me of how Star Wars repackages and resells their merchandise.

I still haven't gotten through Gotham Knight. That animation style turned me off.
