That HAS to be a hoax. It just screams troll.
Well, the Facebook post (from an Australian nurse and mother) seems legit—-it’s been picked up by multiple news sites now—-but whether she actually did it hasn’t surfaced.
^In an age when a child can pick their gender in spite of their anatomy is it really an "outrage" to not make them choose between an A or denying their religion and holding to a history that millions of people have held to for thousands of years? That's an "outrage"?
I mean, as far as I can tell, the law is not saying evolution can't be taught. It's not saying that religion has to be taught in the class. It's not even saying that the kid can just skip answering. They have to explain that at a particular point they have a differing view because of their religion and then they won't be penalized for it. That hardly seems like an outrage to me.
given this law, seems to me that its giving more support to those who would rather believe in "the origin of everything, as told by Genesis" or "intelligent design" (as opposed to "evolution"), so as long as they can pad the argument with enuff "substance and relevance"....they'll be a-ok scholastically.
man, I kinda wish I were a teacher in that state so that when Little Timmy or Tammy try to defend them getting (5 x 5 = 55) wrong, I'll get to hear whatever cockamamie excuse they'll mentally flop around coming up with an religious excuse for......
and yes, I do consider this an outrage. becuz FACTS are FACTS.
