The writer of this article gets it. People are building more and more houses in areas that are apt to burn up. Those places were regularly burning for ages before any humans lived in the Americas. That's the whole problem right there.

And the mentality is, we're gong to rebuild these houses because we love the views, and we're going to hire more firefighters and get a better warning system. And we're going to make the taxpayers pay for all that.

But how about wising up and just not building any more houses in fire zones? Later for those views you love and that the taxpayers don't get to see.
