Greetings and salutations, so forth and etcetera....
Not much to say right now, I'll probably spend of my time lurking here I'm fairly new to the world of the GL's and their counterparts. I just recently got back into comics a couple months ago after a ten year hiatus. So I don't have much to say or bring to the table.
My son, who I bought the First Flight DVD for, was really taken by the Green Lantern Corp, so when I jumped back into comics, on top of my Batman family and Superman family comics, I picked up a few books out of the Green Lantern group.
Everything about the GL stories are so much better than I ever remembered them being. The first couple of books I picked up were towards the end of Blackest Night, so literally I was kind of out of my element. I scrambled to piece the story together off the internet, so I wouldn't be so lost, and ended up loving what little bit I got to read. (Currently searching for a complete set.) But with Brightest Day, I'm kind of hitting the ground running and loving every minute of it.
I'm pretty much completely taken with everything GL I can find right now. I recently cleared out my local comic shops back issue bin, picked up a few Blackest Night figures, (Atrocious, Saint Walker, Earth 2 Kal-L), and grabbed my son an Imaginext Green Lantern Jet with Hal Jordan.
It's really funny, I was hoping my love for the Superman or Batman books would catch my imagination, and it turns out my sons love for that Hal Jordan movie is what hooked me.
So there it is, that's why I'm here. Looking forward to seeing what everyone else thinks about what's going on and seeing what stuff people are adding to their collections.
