What If Dick Grayson was a Green Lantern?

Hey everybody. Just wanted to introduce myself. I am a huge Nightwing/Robin fan and really am getting into the whole Corps and reading back stories and these guys rock. Love the Current run with Johns can't wait for blackest night

Anyway as to the question in the topic, I don't think he'd make a particularly good Lantern.

Oh don't get me wrong, he's fearless, honest, has all the qualities an officer of the Green Lantern Corps needs... but he's an accrobat at heart... Sure Dick might get a kick out of flying... but I don't think he'd be the type to fly... he really would rather jump around rooftop to rooftop.

Similarly he seems the type who'd rather go hand to hand. I mean sure he has wing'rangs (is that their proper title?) and those eskrima sticks... but how long has he known Roy and never decided to take advantage of the plethora of weapons available to him?

The Green Lantern Ring is the most powerful weapon in the universe... and I just don't think Dick would choose to use it.

He sounds about as good as Laira. Gl martial artist and all, not so good at taking orders, likes putting himself into danger needlessly. Much like a few other earth GL's.

Morrison would write it and have Hal slowly go insane lose his ring and it will get passed on to Dick, who will be the new Batm... erh Green Lantern for about a year until the sales sag and Bruc... erh Hal triumphantly returns!

It's the return of the sucky 90's all over again! Gee I hope they do two or three landscape pages per issue and five different covers per issue!
