Year one?

iv been gone for a long time but i now have my own computer am back on the site and now that iv moved there is no store imediatly near me. i was wonderin. is there or are they planning on a year one for john. or a mini series on his early times.

Geoff said there'd "kind of" be a Year One for John planned... by the end of last year. I'm left to assume he was only talking about John's little cameo in Secret Origin.

I'd love to see a proper John YO, from his days as a marine to becoming an architect, to his relationship with Katma and his time on Mosiac. Wishful thinking I'm sure.

I never got into John. I liked Mosaic, but his character never really grew on me. I'd like a John Stewart Year One to help me get more into his character.

John absolutely needs a Year One, no doubt about it. His character/characterization has been all over the place for the past couple of decades.

i think a year one is a good idea for both john stewart and guy gardner wspecially with the changes that have been made in johns history....and with how muddled guys history is

Agreed, a year one for both of them would be great, hell throw in a year one for Kyle as well! By fleshing out each of the Earth GL's will only make us and especially the newbies enjoy the characters that much more.

Whats the worst that could happen? Sales go up! More fans for the individual GL's! More demand for more GL stories! This should be happening now already.

With more new readers on GL now more than ever, this is the perfect opportunity to keep them on board for the long haul. Bring back the writers who love the various GL's the most eg:

Beau Smith = GUY GARDNER

Ron Marz = Kyle Rayner

Gerard Jones = John Stewart

We already have Geoff with Hal so that's soughted! There is just so much potential for the "4 musketeers" to all be the greatest GL's that ever lived!

Why oh why is DC not capitalising on this? If this was marvel, there would've been about 10 titles already! I'll say this for marvel, they know how to market and squeeze out as much as possible if they see a gap in the market, no matter how small. Yes i know some of the extras they put out suck, but they still kill when it comes to sales.

GLC, should IMO already have the backup feature. This would be a great way to tell origin stories of the various GL's.
