Whenever i can, i trade with friends or fellow collectors.
Just recently i traded about 60 odd comics for a night at a stunning game resort, meals all inclusive. I'm still going to surprise my sweetheart with that real soon.
Getting back to your initial story, i couldn't agree more, as much as i love all out action, i much prefer character development. Interestingly Geoff Johns over at ign mentioned that Blackest Night is about relationships and character development first and foremost. I love the exploration of the Emotional Spectrum. More than anything i want to care about the characters i read about. That's why, to this day, i and so many other people care so much for the JLI characters as they were well developed and relatable during the late 80's and 90's.
With your development of GUY ( the Warrior years ) and his relationships with his peers was always a treat. Looking forward to your return with baited breath.
:On worlds afar or scenes at home, wherever the cause should make me roam, always i vow to fight the good fight, to combat evil with all green lanterns might!:
Like you, I'm hoping that out of Blackest Night there will be some time focused on making the characters stand out and letting the readers really get to know them as fictional characters. Geoff has always been very good at that and I don't think he's gonna let anyone down this trip either.
Monica......what a beauty....and always classy. So hard for Hollywood to be both these days.
