Is Kyle faking?

Meaning, is he just putting up a show for Sinestro and -- perhaps -- Parallax isn't quite as much in control of him as Sinestro would like to think?

I mean, look at something like Final Night. There were times that Hal was allowed to be Hal, free from control of Parallax. Surely self-sacrificing himself to save the world wouldn't have been something Parallax would have motivated.

Thats true, I think that at this point Parallax is in control of Kyles body and in the Special we will see Kyle fight to regain control of his body I believe Parallax can be controlled by its host but is not yet

I expect to see Kyle fight himself internally like Hal did in Rebirth by the end of the war.

That would solidify Kyle's place as a GL showing that fear incarnate can be overcome and controlled by his own will.

The one good thing about Kyle being possessed is that his Parallax suit is THE BOMB.

It would be a cool spin if he could tame "the beast", gain complete control over the Parallax powers, if only to keep the suit.

T-that... just doesn't seem at all the way Parallax worked before. Because it never had *complete* control of Hal. It played on his emotions; manipulated and perverted them, but it was always consciously Hal in there, even if he was a little confused about what he was doing sometimes.

In light of that, Kyle being trapped inside Parallax seems kind of weird. Parallax is a *parasite*. It's got some kind of cognitive personality, I guess, but the impression I got was that it was mostly an incarnation of fear and only really formed a tangible voice based on the individual it inhabits. What I mean is: Parallax gaining dominance in Kyle's body so quickly is really bizarre. I kind of hoped he was faking. :P

Although Kyle IS a living battery now. So it's probably logical that shoving Parallax in where Ion was supposed to be would amplify it's effects. *shrug* THAT'S COMIC BOOK SCIENCE AND I LOVE IT.

I give Geoff credit for trying to make some kind of sense of the Parallax issue. But it just really is a bad concept IMO

Parallax being a symbiote is the same as saying "everything from issue 47 of the 2nd series and forward is a dream of Hals"

That being said I know they wanted to bring Hal back to being Hal so pushing the blame off to someone else is what had to happen.

I don't doubt he didn't expect what happened to have happened (though the Guardians might have!), but if Sinestro just put Parallax inside you and starts calling you a buddy with hundreds/thousands of Sinestro Corpsmen around you damned sure better act the part. "When do I get to beat up the old man?" seems the expected response.

Yeah, I have a feeling, Kyle as Parallax, will be the lynch pin in who wins this war. I love Geoff to tears, but he does use cliche ends to some of his stories and I have a gut feeling he is again going to use Kyle as the Corps saviour.

I fully expect, during a fight with him and Hal, Kyle will give Hal the "wink"...

But in Rebirth...it took the Spectre to separate Hal from Parallax. It's like The Spectre said "enough is enough...there you're rid of Parallax and I'm going home."

How will they get Parallax out of Kyle?

Yeah i'm hoping he's faking. That would be a good explaination on how a certain GL isn't dead.
