Anyone who thinks any comics have any respect for continuity is kidding themselves. With so many writers working on so many books, one single, unbroken continuity is virtually impossible. But that's way OT, so forget I said anything
That's vastly different from "respecting" continuity, and you know it.

So, after seeing many trailers over the last few weeks, I have just one question: What happened to this?
Now, I can and DO accept that Parallax is able to change form. He did so in the comic. Anyone remember the Guardian/Parallax fusion/hybrid?
But so far, looking at the trailers and the toy line, there's no sign of Parallax in his "pure" form as shown above.
My guess is that we'll see his true form pretty late in the film, perhaps after they separate it from Krona. Who knows. But as far as I know, that's still in the movie somewhere.

I am using the Toy line as a guide; Movie Masters in particular.
There is the 11 piece Collect & Connect Parallax, the massive 14" or so Movie Masters figure.
there is ANOTHER Parallax MM figure in Series 5, expected shelf date in August. I assume this is the other, smaller form of Parallax we will see in the film. Perhaps this buglike creature you are seeking.

The MM line has 12 figures, but one of them, the maskless Hal, comes with a die-cast ring (and possibly Bzzd) instead of a C&C piece. So the 11th piece IS the single card Parallax figure. I'm guessing it's the main body and head, and the other 10 pieces are it's disgusting, disgusting limbs.
I honestly don't think the Guardians look all that great. It's not going to ruin the movie for me or anything but they remind me of a less comic version of the Aliens from Tim Burton's Mars Attacks.
