THIS!!! Which would then start to bring up the issue of whether or not being gay is a choice as opposed to being born that way and a person can just choose to stop being gay. This idea is so damn stupid and opens up too many unnecessary question that were just not needed.I LOVE conspiracy theorists. They are like human versions of the cymbal clapping, dancing monkeys. No one takes them all that seriously and they get bored with them after about 10 minutes.

maybe past Iceman hasn't found that right girl to make him not gay yet (which would be wrong btw but come on how can one not be gay but the other is gayOriginally posted by Mister Ed View PostUnless a.) they are going to reveal that the "past" versions are actually alternate universe versions after all (though I understand previous events make that problematic) or b.) the writer is fine with the obvious implication that somebody can stop being gay later in life (which I think would end up raising more of a fuss than revealing the character to be gay in the first place, and which I cannot IMAGINE would be an intentional statement...even though it follows completely logically if one is REALLY just an adult version of the other from the same universe).

Yeah but it's sad, forced, makes no damn sense drama (and that's saying something when it involves the X-men). I would honestly take another round of Scott/Jean/Logan love triangle drama over this foolishness.I LOVE conspiracy theorists. They are like human versions of the cymbal clapping, dancing monkeys. "DAREDEVIL" GETS SECOND SEASON WITH NEW SHOWRUNNERS
Marvel.com has announced that "Daredevil" will return in 2016 for a second season on Netflix, but this time around, a different team will be running the show: Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez are set to take over from season one showrunner Steven DeKnight.
"While previous commitments unfortunately prevent me from continuing on with Daredevil into its second season,I could not be happier that Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez are carrying the torch," DeKnight said in a statement. "They were invaluable collaborators during our first season, and I for one can't wait to see what they do with the show moving forward."

Already disappointed with Daredevil season 2. lol
EDIT: Upon further review, I'll need to rewatch certain episodes to know how good of a writing team we have here. Then I'll give my rushed judgement.

It's like Geoff Johns' final issue all over again. "Here let me jizz all over my final issue and leave the sticky pages here for you or anyone else that comes along to deal with making it work." I really like Bendis too and for he did no wrong when it came to Ultimate Spider-man but this shit just annoys the fuck out of me.I LOVE conspiracy theorists. I just found out about this over breakfast. Iceman has always been my favorite X-Man. While I knew of a few instances where he'd dated some of the X-girls a poster on comicvine educated me in her response to another poster...
Bobby had a story just two or three years ago where his subconscious created duplicate Icemen to protect everyone he had ever loved, and all of them were women. That was his subconscious at work, and you cannot just magically turn your subconscious straight no matter how deep in denial you are. He also had an arc when he was involved with Polaris about feeling inadequate as a result of competing for her affections with Havok. It is a retcon, and the bit about him being in perpetual denial is completely unnecessary, especially when Bobby has known Northstar, Anole, Rictor and Shatterstar for years. It might be incredibly common in certain places, but think of what place Iceman comes from. Is he afraid the X-Men of all people are going to have a problem with him being gay?
My response to her response...
I've been a fan of Iceman for years but had to take a break from buying so many comics. Shatterstar was another favorite of mine back in the 90's and it didn't bug me as much when they wrote him as being gay, and I wasn't offended Madrox makes a gay duplicate once in awhile. I remembered the bit with Polaris, but wasn't aware of some of the more recent stuff you mentioned. Retconning a character in this manner is just poor writing IMHO and nothing but shock value and the occasional headline on a few comic sites. As others mentioned I hope these young originals don't effect the current older versions of the characters.
I honestly get tired of reading about sexuality in superhero comics. Writer A can write an incredible run on a title and never get any recognition telling a great superhero story, Writer B writes shock and awe comics and gets headlines in other media because they made Character C in a superhero comic black, gay, Hispanic, female, schizophrenic, a drug addict, have HIV, male, etc. that wasn't that originally. I can't wait to hear which member of the Justice League or Teen Titans will be revealed as gay or something to counter this move by Marvel SMH.
