Apparently there's going to be THREE romantic subplots in the film. Scott/Jean, Raven/Beast...and who else? Maybe Angel and Jubilee? AHHHHH. I'm so excited to see teenage Scott and Jean. That's literally all I care about with this movie.
Vacation screenwriters John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein are being set right now to write the Spider-Man reboot movie for Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios. The pair had been among the names on a shortlist to direct, but that gig went to Cop Car helmer Jon Watts, and the studio already has found its new Peter Parker in Tom Holland.
Getting a script ready for production was the next step as the pic is slated for release on July 28, 2017. Amy Pascal and Marvel’s Kevin Feige are producing the latest iteration of $4 billion superhero saga, which finds the action set in high school — though it is not considered to be an origin story.
In addition to another reboot in New Line’s Vacation, which comes out July 29 as their directorial debut, Daley and Goldstein paired on writing comedies Horrible Bosses 2 and The Incredible Burt Wonderstone. They also co-wrote the script for Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs 2, which came from Sony’s Columbia Pictures.
So apparently the launch of the New 52 buried Hickman's Ultimates and caused it's cancellation...it wasn't worth it.
You mean the Ultimates with Miles, Cloak, Dagger, etc..? How so?
And though his suit's really detailed, SOMEBODY should mention how utterly awesome Magneto is gonna look in this new X movie. He looks like somebody that could actually kick the movie Avengers' asses...
You mean the Ultimates with Miles, Cloak, Dagger, etc..? How so?
No I'm referring to Ultimate Comics: The Ultimates (Hickman also wrote Ultimate Comics: Thor and Ultimate Comics: Hawkeye) which launched at the exact same time as the New 52. The book wasn't cancelled but due to it getting buried on the sales chart Marvel pulled Hickman from the book and he went on to write Avengers and New Avengers.
It was unfortunate because reading Hickman's Ultimates was like being with your high school crush except she's even hotter now. But then Sam Humphries becomes the co-writer and small parts of your girlfriend are being transmuted into shit but you don't really notice until finally Humphries is the sole writer and you're spooning a 5' 8" pile of shit.
really? hmmm im waiting for it to hit online. id see it at the theatre but i hate having to pay 6 bucks for a soda 6 for popcorn and annoying people who talk in the theatre during the film.
