    2) I love Civil War, but Spidey was the worst part of that story.
Marvel Studios would somehow make it perfect

    They can do no wrong!

ironman 3 was crap. but that is just one movie out of 20 ( the inhumans is there 20th film at marvel studios)

i mean hey if they can get spidey great but lets not forget they have enough charachters to where they dont need him and with sony making bad decisions currently like crossing mib with jumpstreet ( yes thats happening) than that just shows there desperate to get something going.

i think if sony cant do anything with spiderman since ams2 was considered a failure the rights should revert back to marvel like dd gr and blade did.

Once again making 500 million on a 200 million budget isn't a failure. Some ppl didn't like the story but it still made a shit load of money.

It's not going back to marvel anytime soon.

all im saying is since its confirmed marvel and sony did indeed have talks about spidey being in captain america civil war we can assume just because it fell through now that it simply does NOT stop any future possibilities. according to john campea sony is in a huge financial mess

i mean who would have though they would even sit down with eachother? i mean hey marvel should have done a deal with sony saying if you let us do our version of spidey the marvel way without any input you sony can have distribution movie rights exclusivley as far as dvd and blu ray sales go ( lucas did it with fox for the star wars franchise) plus split the box office profit 50/50.

i mean if you think about it marvel will not only be doing the work but also funding the bill for the charachter and sony as usual will do nothing and just sit back.

                • Disney/Marvel could just as well make another character the young impressionable hero in the series of films. I believe it was rumored 'Panther would fill the void since he's new to the scene and not already firmly grounded with a huge back history. I think a good direction could come from introducing a teenage Speedball [cause we all know how the REAL Civil War started] and setting up an Avengers Academy of sorts down the line.

                      • say what you want about the source but lets keep the hope alive

SPIDER-MAN MARVEL DEAL MAY NOT BE DONE

Yesterday saw the news revealed that Marvel and Sony had been in talks for Spider-Man to appear in Captain America: Civil War, as well as Marvel seemingly taking control of the character with Sony still involved.

The Wall Street Journal first reported about the leak, which was a result of numerous hacks targeted at Sony, and in their report, they stated sources filled them in that talks between Marvel and Sony had fallen apart.

However, now it's being said that may not be entirely the case as Latino Review is claiming Sony corporate out of Japan is keeping the Marvel talks alive, with offers still on the table.

It's said Sony Japan (corporate headquarters) isn't happy with how Sony movies is handling the Amazing Spider-Man franchise and is also pretty ticked about the leaks, which may end up with people getting fired if the company loses money.

So it's said Sony Japan is keeping talks with Marvel alive about Spider-Man appearing in a Marvel movie (or movies) as it would benefit future Sony movies starring the Wall Crawler.

What's interesting about all this is that within the last six months or so, there have been a couple of mentions and rumors of Spider-Man going back to Marvel.

Back in May, Max Landis tweeted about Marvel getting Spider-Man back with mention "5 months from now this is gonna be real interesting." Five months from May is October, which was right around when Marvel and Sony are said to have been in talks; so it's possible if the initial talks between Marvel and Sony had worked out, we might have heard about Spider-Man becoming an Avenger.

Other mention of Spider-Man returning to Marvel came from Sony investors and insiders who recommended entertainment assets be sold as Sony has been experiencing financial woes.

Sony is said to be having a "Spidey" summit in January to discuss the future of the franchise.

                              • I wonder if Marvel will hold off promoting "Ant-Man" until Age of Ultron hits the screens even though it's only two months behind the release of Avengers 2. I hope to see some type of teaser trailer for Ant-Man around March.
