      • I just read Issue 4 of Thor, and since the eliminated the prime suspect of who Lady Thor might be, I'm thinking Thorette is Enchantress as she doesn't want to unmask herself to Thor, the Asgardians and the rest of the Avengers. I'm thinking it's inversion Enchantress from Axis.

              Sup.

Yeah, you think Marvel would want to capitalize on the Avengers name brand, especially since the Age of Ultron flick will be dropping about the same time.

I guess they went with A-Force name to be cool like X-Force.

                Sup.

That's what I initially thought. But I don't know how long Thor was trying to lift his hammer after the events of Origin Sin. It could have been months. In issue four of Thor we see Blacktain America, Sam Wilson, unfrozen, so I'm not sure of the time line. Falcon became Captain America sometime after Original Sin.

I don't think its Jane Foster because there is not reason to hide her identity. I mean, this Lady Thor has the Asgardian vernacular down pat and know how Thor would reaction in a given situation.

                  • let him do his thing

MARVEL SAYS GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY 2 STORY IS RISKY

No stranger to risk, now James Gunn says Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is risky as well.

When Guardians of the Galaxy was announced, aside from the Marvel Cosmic faithful, not many comic or fans from the general public were even aware of any characters from the team.

Some had written Guardians of the Galaxy off before they had even seen the first trailer; however, Gunn and the Guardians of the Galaxy managed to score three-quarters of a billion dollars as well as achieving the best grossing movie for 2014 in the U.S.

Now while participating in a podcast, Gunn lets it be known that Marvel thinks his take on Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is risky.

"It’s not really based on anything. The story for Guardians 2 is an original story that I came up with that I started working on actually while I was shooting Guardians 1, and it’ll answer some of the questions that were put forth in the first movie about Peter Quill’s father and who he is and what’s going on with that. We’ll get to know some of the characters a little bit more and then we’re going to meet a couple of new characters who will be very important to Guardians movies and probably important to the Marvel Universe as a whole."

"It’s different than what’s in the comic books. Peter Quill’s father is somebody different in the comics. So then when the movie came out, we got green-lit on the sequel right away. I went in and I sat down with those guys and I’m like, ‘Okay, here’s what I think the sequel should be.’ And they were like, ‘Oh, whoa. That’s risky, but okay.’ Now I’m going to turn over the story in a few short weeks and we’ll find out how well it works."

It's interesting that Marvel apparently thinks Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is risky as it must mean Gunn is not just going to copy what he did for Guardians of the Galaxy (which Marvel was probably banking on).

Gunn also says above that the story for Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is original, which apparently shoots down the recent rumors that Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is based on the Marvel Comics Annihilation: Conquest event.

Guardians of the Galaxy 2 has a May 5, 2017 release.

                    • DEADPOOL Casting: Morena Baccarin, Taylor Schilling On Short List for Female Lead

Add Sarah Greene (Vikings, Noble) and Jessica De Gouw (Arrow and Deadline Gallipoli) to this short list. I’ve added their pictures at the bottom of the original story.

2oth Century Fox has made test deals with a small group of actresses for the female lead opposite Ryan Reynolds on Deadpool, based on the character he originated in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The film is being directed by Tim Miller, who has done strong visual effects work through his VFX house Blur Films. Miller has been developing the film for several years, from a script by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, with Lauren Shuler Donner and Simon Kinberg producing. Production begins in March.

Here are four of the actresses: Morena Baccarin, who played the long-suffering wife of POW-turned-terrorist Brody in Showtime’s Homeland and who also starred in V; Taylor Schilling, from Orange Is The New Black and who was just see at Sundance in The Overnight; Crystal Reed from Teen Wolf and Crush; and Rebecca Rittenhouse, who made a splash in the Fox series The Red Band Society. There might be another actress in the mix, and I’ll add here when someone reaches out. That’s a good crop of young actresses.
