I just learned that AMC theaters are offering a 24 hour Marvel movie marathon leading the Avengers AoU premiere release. The only problem is that it's only is selected theaters, The closest one to me is a good 20 hour drive.

Luckily. Cinemark has one that only 30 minutes away. But what a crazy thing for AMC to do. After the Avengers proved to be a blockbuster, and considering the HUGE fan base Marvel has, the thousands of movie goers who would live for a marathon like that. why wouldn't hold one in every major city in of a state. Or am I being to naive?

I scored that book yesterday, Sad to say I wasn't that impressed. It did have some entertaining parts. But it kinda left me flat.

I'm thinking that there aren't enough people willing to do a 27 hour marathon. I was talking about this with my brother over the weekend and said I would have to take a vacation day to do this since it would start on a Thursday. Around 2am, I probably fall asleep or worse, I would fall asleep when we finally got to Age of Ultron. I wouldn't mind doing the double feature, but I won't give up a vacation day for the marathon.

Additionally, I don't think a movie theater would give up the ticket sales to a large or IMax theater for a entire day to do this marathon.

i have all the movies so why would i want to pay to sit in a theatre for 24 hours? makes no sense for me at least. plus take into account bathroom breaks and buying shit at the stand .

The images don't really provide any thing different and there's still no photo of the Thing or Doom.

However, my skepticism has turned into optimism. I mean, I was not liking anything I read or discussed about the film, but now, I'm like "Okay. I see they're taking this 180 degrees from the previous films (which is a good thing) and I want to see where it goes."

But if it fails, Tazer said we can blame the black guy.

FANTASTIC FOUR 2 Fears the Force, Moves Back a Week to June 9, 2017

20th Century Fox has made a slight release date change for Fantastic Four 2, and in and of itself it seems like a fairly benign move, but there’s a reason for the shift—Star Wars. Earlier today, Disney announced that the Rian Johnson-directed Star Wars: Episode VIII will arrive in theaters on May 26, 2017, returning that franchise to its May haven following The Force Awakens’ unprecedented December release. Fox had originally scheduled the Fantastic Four sequel to drop on June 2nd, but the film will now open in theaters on June 9, 2017 according to The Projection List. Given that Star Wars is now opening the week before June 2nd, it’s probably smart to get a bit of breathing room between the two franchises.

Currently Fantastic Four 2 has that June 9th date all to itself, but it will be followed on June 16th by Pixar’s sure-to-be-huge Toy Story 4, so it’s not escaping box office competition altogether.

But honestly, this date is more of a placeholder for Fantastic Four 2 at this point in time. The first film hasn’t opened in theaters yet, so Fox doesn’t know how this new iteration of the franchise will be received. Chronicle director Josh Trank is at the helm, and he’s envisioned a grittier, David Cronenberg-inspired take on the Marvel Comic, with Miles Teller (Mr. Fantastic), Kate Mara (Invisible Girl), Michael B. Jordan (Human Torch), and Jamie Bell (The Thing) leading the cast.

Trank is attached to direct Disney’s second Star Wars standalone film after Gareth Edwards’ newly titled Rogue One, and while I imagine Fox would be keen to hold on to Trank for the Fantastic Four sequel, it’s unclear if he would practically be able to do both. Rogue One opens in December 2016 and Episode VIII in May 2017, so it’s possible Trank’s Star Wars film won’t hit theaters until December 2018. That makes it feasible for him to direct Fantastic Four 2 directly after Fantastic Four opens in theaters, readying it for 2017 release and then moving into Star Wars that summer, but it’d be a tight squeeze.

so disney is banning smoking from not just star wars but marvel as well..... i get what there trying to do and all but i think this is just stupid honestly
