    • Report: MARVEL's DAMAGE CONTROL Headed To TV

Marvel's Damage Control is coming to television as a half-hour comedy series as ABC has ordered a pilot, reports Deadline.

Damage Control is a cult-classic comic book from the '90's that follows a team of super-cleaners - people who repair the damage left in the after math of superhero battles. The series will reportedly be developed by Ben Karlin, a former executive producer for The Daily Show and The Colbert Report. Karlin will also script the series.

No information about a potential cast or release date was mentioned in Deadline's report.

      • Taika Waititi in Negotiations to Direct ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ for Marvel (Exclusive)

He previously directed “Flight of the Conchords” and the vampire comedy “What We Do in the Shadows”
“Flight of the Conchords” director Taika Waititi is in negotiations to direct “Thor: Ragnarok” for Marvel, an individual with knowledge of the situation has told TheWrap.
Waititi beat out Ruben Fleischer for the coveted job of steering the comic book movie sequel. He follows in the footsteps of Kenneth Branagh (“Thor”) and Alan Taylor (“Thor: The Dark World”).

A representative for Marvel did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Marvel’s Kevin Feige will produce “Thor: Ragnarok,” which sees Chris Hemsworth return as the titular superhero. He’ll be joined by Tom Hiddleston as Loki and Jaimie Alexander as Lady Sif.

Disney will release “Thor: Ragnarok” on July 28, 2017.
Waititi represents a diverse hire for Marvel, as the New Zealand native is half-Maori. He previously directed “What We Do in the Shadows” and the indie comedy “Eagle vs. Shark,” and he also wrote the script for Disney’s animated movie “Moana.”
Waititi is represented by CAA and Manage-ment.

I really hope that means we're finally getting Cable. I also really hope Matthew Vaughn directs New Mutants.

                        • Right? What's the reason this time? Skrulls?

It's just Marvel once again trying to sync the comic books with the MCU.

                            • I didn't like the artwork on Runaways. I hope it's a better fit for Luke and Danny. They deserve another hit series.
