For the longest time I've been wanting either Yvonne Strahovski or Katee Sackhoff as Ms. Marvel. However, after watching Looper and Edge of Tomorrow and knowing it's going to be Captain Marvel (not Ms Marvel), I'm rooting for Emily Blunt. She really impressed me in those two films, especially Edge of Tomorrow. She has great screen presence, Oscar caliber actress and star power. I think she would be a perfect addition to the MCU.

I'm not expecting an announcement about the film until SDCC.

Even if Apocalypse is good, I still think its time for Bryan Singer to move on. Stay on as producer, sure, but bring in some new blood. Matthew Vaughn's First Class was a great step in the right direction. Exciting filmmakers with great ideas.

Even if Apocalypse is good, I still think its time for Bryan Singer to move on. Stay on as producer, sure, but bring in some new blood. Matthew Vaughn's First Class was a great step in the right direction. Exciting filmmakers with great ideas.

I have mixed feelings about the poor reviews that X-Men: Apocalypse has been getting. The X-Men are my all time favorite comic book title, so I want the movie to be good in that respect. However, I've always had a strong dislike to Singer's X-Flicks and I'd like him to move on as well. So, if Apocalypse if a disappointment at the box office, the studio will most likely go with a different director.

I'm hoping when the MCU goes into Phase IV, Marvel Studio and Fox and reach a deal like Marvel did with Sony and bring the X-Men into the MCU, as by that time, the X-Men could use a reboot.

The film has the character, and is therefore less of a film for it. Let this be a lesson for the studio.
