I'm betting Panther or Capt. Marvel will be the first big stinker for Marvel Studios.

Black Panther has a power-packed cast and it looks gorgeous. There's no reason to believe that it will fail. While I can't speak with the same confidence on Capt. Marvel at this point, if Marvel Studios can produce a hit with a weak character like Scott Lang, they can certainly make one with Carol Danvers.

    Odd choice
It just means that Marvel Studios won't be using Venom. Sony can still cast another Spider-man, or make references to him.

Black Panther has the feel of a mega-hit. The Dora Milaje look AWESOME.

    • Christophe Beck To Return For ‘Ant-Man And The Wasp’

Director Peyton Reed confirmed on Twitter that Christophe Beck will be returning to score Marvel Studios’ upcoming sequel Ant-Man and the Wasp. Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas, Michael Peña, David Dastmalchian and T.I. are reprising their roles from the original film. They are joined by Hannah John-Kamen. No plot details have been announced yet. Kevin Feige (The Avengers, Iron Man, Guardians of the Galaxy, Captain America) is producing the project. Beck has previously collaborated with Reed on 2015’s first Ant-Man movie, as well as on the comedy Bring It On. Ant-Man and the Wasp will be released on July 6, 2018 by Walt Disney Pictures.

          • That's a very interesting article. And here's something else -- people are buying Secret Empire, but they're also complaining loudly about it. That suggests to me that its long-term impact will be negative.

Those amazing IMAX cameras won't save this from being shit. The dog looks great though. Bet we don't see him past the first two hours of the show until the season finale when he makes his special appearance...

At the very least... this looks better than Agents of SHIELD on it's best day. Imagine if by episode 4 they break out another Disney/Marvel owned character for a cameo. I like the kid playing Maximus, he shined on Misfits long before Game of Thrones.

This is actually the first I've seen anything on the cast with comicvine and this place being dead lately. They got the older bro from Stranger Things for Cannonball? That's interesting.

I'm not sure what to make of this 'horror movie in the X-verse'. Makes me think they're gonna do Aliens in the franchise but with the Brood or the Phalanx. No costumes? Why even bother giving anybody a codename?

That's actually a good point. It'll be interesting to see how natural that scene is. Hopefully its done a little more organic than the naming scene in First Class

IIRC they were planning on doing the "Demon Bear" -storyline from early in NM's run, and if so then "horror" would be the appropriate genre for it.

this could also be a good thing, since the X- film universe hasn't really dealt with anything supernatural, X2's version of Phoenix included.....
                            :/

                            • ‘Marvel’s New Warriors’ Casts Squirrel Girl and the Rest of the Team

Milana Vayntrub (“This Is Us,” “Silicon Valley”) as Doreen Green a.k.a Squirrel Girl

Doreen is a totally empowered fangirl who has the incredible powers of a … squirrel. Her greatest quality is her optimism and her best friend is a pet squirrel, Tippy Toe.

Derek Theler (“Baby Daddy”) as Craig Hollis a.k.a Mister Immortal

Craig can’t die … or so he says. Although Craig’s superpower seems amazing, he hasn’t made use of it at all – he figures if he has all the time in the world to learn how to do anything heroic, what’s the rush?

Jeremy Tardy (“Dear White People,” “Ten Days in the Valley) as Dwayne Taylor a.k.a Night Thrasher

Brilliant and noble, and maybe a bit full of himself, Dwayne is a shameless self-promoter and entrepreneur who also deeply believes in justice.

Calum Worthy (“Austin & Ally,” “Cassandra French’s Finishing School”) as Robbie Baldwin a.k.a Speedball

Robbie is an impulsive people-pleaser with a misplaced sense of confidence who throws kinetic balls of energy that are completely out of control.

Matthew Moy (“2 Broke Girls, “Steven Universe”) as Zack Smith a.k.a. Microbe

Zack is a shy hypochondriac whose ability is that he can talk to germs that tell him where you’ve been, what you ate and with whom you’ve hung out. It’s impossible to keep secrets around him.

Kate Comer (“Hello My Name is Doris,” “The Comeback”) as Deborah Fields a.k.a. Debrii

Deborah is proud, funny and quick-witted. A low-level telekinetic, very low like she can move a paper cup.
